Did you actually read the police report? Oh, that's right, you don't bother with things like research before deciding what your position is.

 

Maybe he obtained his information from MP.

 

What more would you expect from MP and Snow? Obama can do no wrong nor a great man like the good professor.

The man was in his house. The police should have left. They didn't; ignorant police!

You mean the report filed by this same officer that arrested Mr. Gates?

I read what happened. If fact I read it the before the President spoke. I thought it was the wrong way for the officer to handle it then; I still feel that way.

 

So if I understand you correctly, you think a man should be allowed to verbally assault and abuse a law officer who is responding to complaints from neighbors about the safety of their community?

 

Ah, so you're accusing the officer of filing a false police report. I'm sure you have evidence to support a claim that nobody else, not even Mr. Gates himself, is making.

I have my own personal views of Bill Cosby, so I was very surprised that find that even he is shocked at what Obama said.

 

so, when the cops find a man busting in a door who refuses to identify himself and becomes agressive, if he's black they should do nothing, and if they do they need to be fired?

the man busted in the door, and when questioned by police became agressive and hostile and refused to identify himself as the home owner with proof.
what do you want, someone busts in your front door and police take their word for it that it's their home, no proof needed.

Apparently some support crime in this country, calling police acting corretly ignorant.
Someone busts in my front door and tells police they live here I expect the police to do something other then take their unproven word. Anything less is ignorant, and anyone who believes this is all that should be done ignorant.

 

I guess perhaps it's hard to understand all the things that go through an officers mind when responding to a call. I have been involved in police work for over 14 years.
From the report it would appear that break ins were not unusual in this area. In fact the reason the Dr. had trouble getting into his home may have been from an attempted previous break in. Often break ins are done to get quick cash to support a drug habit. Guns could be involved.
So this officer is dispatched to an address where a citizen observes two people attempting to break in to a nearby home. He is the first officer on the scene and for a period of time he was the only officer for a few minutes. He makes contact with the caller who confirms what she saw. The officer then sees someone in the house. Had it been me, I may have been ready to draw my weapon or pull service weapon out and point it down while attempting to make contact with the person in the home. With only seeing one individual and the report being that two were seen, I would NOT ENTER that home but do what the officer did by having that person step out and show identification.
His unwillingness to cooperate would make me consider a few things... is he somehow under duress by others who may have broken into his home? being held at gunpoint... Could he be having a medical/psychological breakdown? Could he possibly be on drugs?
WHAT IF... the police officer had immediately left the home only to find out later that the DR. was found killed by people who had broken into his home... what then?

Upon proper identification the officer attempted to leave the area when the DR. continued his verbal abuse. The officer showed his patience and control by warning the Dr. to stop his disorderly conduct.
True, I guess I am a bit biased, but this officer deserves a medal for his restraint. He was in uniform, a sergeant no less, and after potentially putting his life on the line to protect this Dr.s property, The Dr. calls him a racist and tries to use this to promote his liberal agenda. The only ignorance here is from those who aren't willing to learn the facts and understand the circumstances that officers are put in on a daily basis.

I bet the moment anyone on here is in serious need of a police officer this police sergeant is EXACTLY the type of officer you would want!
