First I have to get him to SIT STILL. LOL! The Cook's guy who came yesterday said he also has a Lab/ Boxer mix and she weighs 92lbs at 12 years old. Scooter is all muscle right now but when he got his second set of shots at the Feed Store (Visiting Vet) 2 weeks ago yesterday, we had to up his HeartGuard meds because of his weight gain. Dr. Wyatt had warned me tho!
Scooter's sleeping on the sofa right now. He and Nick just had a wrestling fight. I don't have any children to keep today. One is in Alabama and the newborn went to mom's friend's house for the day. It was sure nice to sleep in! I walked Scooter at 6:00 a.m. and then crawled in bed til 9:00.
This is at 6 weeks.

Diane-That is one cute pup! Labs may be large, but you'll find that they're lovable, playful, and protective of the family.
It won't be too long and Scooter will be walking you. Put your running shoes on.

Oh my goodness what a difference a few weeks makes to a puppy!!! Does he even fit in that doggie bed anymore?
I agree with FoG, you better get some running shoes and start weight training. If he gets to 92 pounds he'll be as big as you! Or you could get some rollerblades and let him pull you around the neighborhood like my kids get my huskies to do. -
Diane, he looks like a natural born cat hater. Don't you brainwash now, you hear?
-
I'll second that, Gib! It's only NATURAL for the doggie to hate the kitty! ;)

Cat's role in the life of a dog.
-
You wouldn't imagine touching one of my cats. She lies down with the Great Dane.
Funny how the dogs don't pay any mind to the cats indoors, but once they step outside, up a tree they go with all the dogs on their trail.
Cheers,

Cats have no problem getting up the tree, but often need the fire dept to help them down
-
The cougar climbs a tree with a deer in tow, and does it several times in two or three days. To show how governments work...They recently released cougars around us to help get rid of the fishers they released to reduce the porcupines. They have succeeded in reducing the tame dog and cat populations, which caused no problems in our area. What a vicious circle man creates when he intervenes with nature.

Cats are easier to get out of a tree with a small caliber rifle. They come right down and you don't have to bother the nice people at the fire company.

"Ok, I've had just about enough of you people and your hatred of cats!!"

A Hallmark Card You Will Never See...
My tire was thumping,
I thought it was flat...
When I looked at the tire,
I noticed your cat.
Sorry. -

Biggest problem I have with cats is their size. Now that I'm hammering hard on the underside of 50 I find it harder to get a good sight on them through the old scope. madre won't let me upgrade on the varmit rifle so maybe some new glasses...

There is a song we used to sing years ago:
I love my little cat, I do
With soft black silky hair
It comes with me each day to school
And sits upon the chair
When teacher says "why do you bring
That little pet of your's?"
I tell her that I bring my cat
Along with me because
Daddy wouldn't buy me a bow-wow! bow wow!
Daddy wouldn't buy me a bow-wow! bow wow!
I've got a little cat
And I'm very fond of that
But I'd rather have a bow wow wow!
Cheers,
Jim
