Yeah. That is really mature.
 -
If it's a joke shouldn't it be in the humor forum instead of the news forum?
-
If it's a joke shouldn't it be funny?

I got a chuckle, I almost felt bad about it. But then I didn't.
-
Wow. I bet you get sore sides from racist jokes, too.
-
That was great!

I don't feel sorry for hurting any ones feelings over speaking in tongues. I was subjected to the pentacostal persuasion as a child and that stuff is of the devil. Making up a gift of the spirit and using it as a spiritual barometer, or worse yet, evidence of salvation. There is nothing biblical about it.

1Co 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

You'll have to do better than that. Disproving the glossolalia evidenced in the Book of Acts will be an acceptable starting place. -
Why don't you start a thread extolling the amazing evidences of glossolalia instead of making me guess in the news board what you think constitutes evidence.
-
Here's a hint: saying tongues is a sign for nonbelievers isn't saying it isn't of God. But for starters, I'll consider disproving the Book of Acts' obvious instances of glossolalia as evidence. -
Moving this to the Other Christian Denominations Forum because it is not News.

Sorry, wasn't trying to make any rude gestures, I just don't like guessing games
-
I guess that did come out sounding very bad, please forgive me TP. I would be fine discussing the topic in the proper forum, but I can't be required to come up with both sides of the argument myself.

It is not wise to make fun of God's gifts. Which is worse, saying a four letter word, or making fun of gifts of the Spirit? Which is courser jesting?
I hear Hollywood came out with a movie called 'Saved' that makes fun of evangelical Christianity and Baptists in particular. Posting the article is akin to encouraging Christians to watch that movie, imo. I haven't seen it, btw, just read reviews. I don't plan to. -
I did not make fun of any of God's gifts. I made fun of man worldly perversion of God's gifts.
