Has everyone gone on holidays?
I am now walking 4 km/hr which may not sound much but is a MAJOR event in my life.
I am not so tired and don"t need so much sleep, I am not consuming much analgesia.
Probably the biggest revelation is I LIKE the walking, there is a buzz to be had....I thought the exercise junkies were CRAZY but I have been known to be wrong on one or two occasions.

Not too bad!
Glad to hear you’re tapping the resources and enjoying the natural high!
Next thing you know you’ll be saying, “Hi, my name is Briony and I’m a fitness junkie…” ;) -
Oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo:laugh: -
This fat, middle aged haus Frau is feeling quite clever at walking 4kphs under an hour. I am we'll on the way to the popular 10000 steps programme.
I have to take a sweat towel with me now, I am not a fan of sweat.sitting pretty on my weight just over 100kgs....I would not mind sweating some of the lard off. I no longer need my armour of fat -
On April 1st, I started running. I barely could run 30 seconds at a time but now can do 20 and I'm beginning to love it! I hadn't run for 2 weeks because of camp and super heat but I'm making sure on this boat trip I'm on (yes, I'm on holiday), I will run 3 days a week. I especially love that it has decreased my migraines and I am sleeping better!
Keep up the good work! -
Good onya Ann.i am impressed....I am scared to run as I might knock myself out with portions of my anatomy.....lol.
I am impressed at how appallingly quickly I am finding what a buzz I get in doing my daily walk...all to the greater glory of God!
Haven't discovered any kneeling strengthening exercises, I certainly could do with some. Rofl.
Where is Ben? Hope he and his family ( or as we say in NZ, his whanau) are well. -
I meant to sayin my post that now I run 20 minutes without difficulty bit is hard to post on a bulletin board from my phone!

BG, it is great that you have taken up walking and are seeing the benefits. Do you use a pedometer? Here in the UK it is recommended that we walk 10,000 steps a day. I really must get a new battery in my pedometer
-
Yes, the 10000 step thing is big here too. It does actually work out to be about 7-8 km a day.
I have stopped for the time being, restarting this Monday....I have started feeling the effects of congestive heart failure, and a possible small silent infarct although that is not confirmed. It has however put in the dumps rather!:tear: -
Oh Melanie! I'm sorry about the health issues! I pray that you are feeling better soon and that there are no long term affects from all of this!

Another possibility: the Miocardial Infarction? could have been much worse without the exercise.
Scheduled exercise routines with appropriate stress levels are usually quite beneficial. Check with a sports medicine doctor/chiropractor.
