Power for Some New York Residents Will Be Out Until Weekend After Snow Storm

    All that global warming causing power outages. What are we to do.

    This was such a freak snowstorm that happened here. In the last bunch of years, it's been about January before we have our first snow and last year we had very little. Here it's before Halloween and some areas got hit with 20" of snow!! So weird!! Unfortunately, with the leaves still on most of the trees, that meant that the snow stuck to the trees really well and since it was a heavy snow (not a freezing cold snow but one closer to mid 30 degree temps), that meant that it took down a lot of trees onto power lines.

    But you're so right. We've not had weather this chilly in years.

    We have already had weather down in the 40's here in the Orlando area which set a new record. this year will be colder for everyone.
