Do you believe that modern Israel today is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy? I hear diffrent passages explained from the Old Testament that it was for what we see today. Some however believe those scripture are jerked out of context and are made to walk on all fours to support a modern restored nation. Thoughts?
Prophecy fulfilled?

I think the answer is yes.
If it is not, two questions:
What form will the restored Israel take?
How does the modern nation of Israel fit into the scheme of things? -
The nation was created in 1948.
There have been two Arab - Israeli Wars since,
and each time they have gained more land.
Next time around if they win and take
"the land that the Fathers possessed"
(ie: the 12 Tribes) then they will be able
to reestablish the ONLY Religion designed by God.
If Israel loses the next war and get driven
into the Sea, then expect Islam to be reinvigorated
even more and for the Islam to retake the whole of the
Mediterranean and then look to fulfilling their religious
mandate to take-over the whole world for Allah.
If you do not see God working in world events today
then you probably just "dismiss" the current events
in the Middle East as "irrelevant". -
5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their appearance in all the land
7 (and, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead); and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah.
8 And he said, This is Wickedness: and he cast her down into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came forth two women, and the wind was in their wings; now they had wings like the wings of a stork; and they lifted up the ephah between earth and heaven.
10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
11 And he said unto me, To build her a house in the land of Shinar: and when it is prepared, she shall be set there in her own place. Zech 5
Mystery Babylon the Great set back in her own place. And mainstream evangelical Christianity falls all over themselves worshipping and following after this Golden Calf. But, these things must needs come to pass. -

Thanks for the replies guys "and gals". I hear the Bible answer man on the raido and is pretty sharp but I can listen to other good bible teachers who feel just as strong the other view. If they were lawyers in court they would put up a good fight.

We must separate spiritual Israel from political Israel.
That is my take but I could be wrong. It just seems that with every year between their (re)establishment and now it is becoming more unlikely they are part of God's prophetic plan. -

Is the modern nation of Israel the fulfillment of Bible prophecy? Before any discussion of this excellent question is possible, what is the prophecy (reference to book, chapter and verses) that may or not be fully or partially fulfilled.

If all the "good stuff" applies to modern Israel why doesn't all the bad as well?Click to expand... -

You never hear John Hagee or other Dispies quoting Jesus in Matthew 23 regarding Israel or Rev 2&3 that call them the synagogue of Satan. Nor do they quote Paul who called them crucifiers of Christ.

2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the concision:

Do you believe that the rise of militant Islam is just a coincidence and has no precedence in history in regards to Western Civilization (Europe)?
If I had a pastor who was unaware of currents events and had no grasp of history, I would call for his resignation. -
