    Enda,

The SDA position is that the Trinity doctrine is correct.

However, as 3AM points out - there was a time in the 1800's when all SDAs did not hold that opinion. In fact some of the outspoken leaders of the SDA church that came out of non-trinitarian churches like "the Church of the Bretheren" held to their non-trinitarian views as SDAs and spoke out against that doctrine.

Others (for example those from the United Methodist Church) did not oppose the Trinity doctrines and in fact one primary leader boldly began publishing teachings on the Holy Spirit as "The Third Person of the Godhead" etc in the late 1800's.

I must say, that I obviously do not know you...

And you surely are not calling the kettle black when you say "they are closed minded and hard hearted". You are the most abrasive person I deal with on the internet, including secular forums and athiest forums. But I also must say in your favor, you appear, to know more than any person I have yet had dealings with regarding truth and the Bible. That is pretty good. I look forward to learning more from your posts in the future.

I don't think it actually says that in the Bible.

In Rev 17 we see the whore of Babylon described.

In Rev 18 God says "Come OUT of HER MY people" speaking of Babylon.

So it is clear that at least SOME of God's people ARE in Babylon - even by a simple reading of the two chapters.

Who that is and how we discover that - is a matter of more Bible study - but we should not be surprised if the solution is of the form "some Christians are in Babylon" and God wants them to leave.

    In Christ,

    Bob

Well, ok, but I think that it's extremely unlikely I would ever be convinced that there is clear evidence identifying the whore of Babylon as mentioned in Revelation with the Roman Catholic Church.

Halloween and Harry Potter are the Mark of the Beast and the Whore of Babylon.

    3AM

I have taken the decision to delete all my posts on this issue, my initial post was dealing with your lack of respect towards Helen whist talking about Scripture.

I regret that this point led to much debate which was neither edifying or glorifying to our Saviour. I apologise for my part in that.

I would like to end the debate/argument here in the interests of harmony and brotherly love.

    Yours In Christ

    Enda

    Enda,

I still have no idea what you are talking about. You need to QUOTE a specific thing where you see me being irreverent to the WORD OF GOD, not irreverent to Helen. I don't have to show reverence to Helen. You said I was being irreverent to the Word of God.

Perhaps next time you decide to engage in this type of conversation, you do it by email or private message.

    Just a suggestion.

    God Bless
