What is questionable about bowling or pinball?
-
I like to take my chicken bowling. Does that count as one game, or two?
-
I played both 5-pin and 10-pin bowling for 35 years or more. I umpired baseball and softball (league) but never played either. Also refereed high school and college football (Canadian) and basketball, college and high school level. Never played, but thoroughly enjoyed the games.
Now the "shady"game....I play bingo on the net, but never been in a live hall or taken money from playing. I enjoy the chat and opportunity to witness. It also helps to keep my brain and hands working after my strokes.
Cheers,

Really.
As far as pinball goes, early pinball machines were gambling devices. Therefore playing pinball is equivalent to gambling. It destroys your "testimony."
Yep.
A Sunday School teacher once told our 4th grade class that if we were involved in any activity where it was not easy to tell someone about Jesus, then it was a sinful activity. She gave the example of attending a concert (I'm assuming it was a rock concert in her mind) where the music is loud.
I raised my hand and asked why in the world the youth group was going to Six Flags the next weekend to ride the roller coasters when it wouldn't be easy to tell people about Jesus while whipping along the tracks.
I was sent out of the class for the rest of the morning for "acting up." :tonofbricks: -

Some of the video games I play could be of questionable quality. Mainly they involve shooting and killing opponents and such. Murder and mayhem can be so much fun. :D
I am also a card player but don't care for poker. Rook, Canasta, Phase 10, Hearts, Mille Bornes, and stuff like that are more my speed. -
I'm under grace, not law. "Questionable" means age appropriate? <G>
-
If by "chicken" you mean two cars speeding down the road at each other, that's not just questionable, it's downright dangerous and stupid.
As for the rest, I see nothing wrong with any of them--especially bowling. I've never played poker, but if people want to gamble their money away, that's up to them--as long as no one else is depending on that money for their needs. -

My brother in law restores old coin-op games. He's like a magician. I've seen him take games off the scrap heap and make them look and work like they just came off the assembly line. New hardware, new paint, new everything.
Anyway, about twenty years ago, he asked me to help him and that's been my hobby ever since.
Currently, I own four pinball machines and a Defender video game an arcade owner gave me in trade for fixing a couple of his machines.
I used to skip school to go play pinball and spent God only knows how many quarters.
Also shoot pool every chance I get and still consider myself one of the best foosball players I know.
Also love to bowl, but rarely get to go anymore. -
Card wise, I Used to play a lot poker, Now manly just like to play spades or books and runs.
Still love billiards, but rarely play.
Do like to bowl occasionally and enjoy baseball and football once in a while. -
At one time or another I have played all these games.
