While most on this board are going to vote for Romney, hardly anyone is thrilled with the idea and will cast a vote while holding their nose. Which President since Truman do you think his Presidency will be like and why?

I won't be holding my nose while voting for Romney.
I'm thrilled that we have a better candidate than McCain or a Dole and we certainly have a better candidate than obama---a candidate with pro-American views and business experience and executive experience, one whose birth place isn't questionable, one whose family is proud of our nation, one who doesn't need to sponge off of American taxpayers for freebie luxury vacations, one who isn't beholden to socialist/marxist cronies or union thugs, and even though some people don't believe it, one who leans towards conservatism.
I am hopeful that a President Romney will surround himself with patriotic, intelligent, Constitution and freedom loving, experienced staff. I do not believe he will bow to Saudi kings and he certainly doesn't have any Jeremiah Wrights of hatred in his background or Bill Ayers, etc.
I have no doubt he has college records available for public view and even a bonafide BC.
Because he believes in capitalism, I am hopeful he will get rid of obamacare (as he has promised) and get rid of the over regulation and hopefully some unnecessary departments, or at least scale them back and downsize the size of our government. I believe he will open up exploitation of our own natural resources, oil, gas, coal, and will encourage investment in other energy sources through private investment.
I believe he will be a friend to Israel and our other long-term allies and not throw them under the bus or insult them as has happened in the past 3-1/2 years.
I don't want to compare a President Romney to previous presidents, I believe because of his own experiences and his religious beliefs and his hard fight in the Republican primaries, he will create his own unique presidency. He is well aware of what conservatives expect and I do not believe he has ulterior motives for running for Presidency. I believe he is running because he truly loves America and wants to use his talents and business experience to turn this nation around, both to help us from falling off the fiscal cliff and also the socialism cliff.
He doesn't need the limelight. He is not a rock star. I do not want a rock star and Hollywood hobnobber to be president.
I seriously doubt you will ever hear a President Romney calling segments of the American people who disagree with his policies, "terrorists" or "enemies" or tell people to "bring a gun to the fight" or go in and alter presidential biographies embellilshed with his personal comments, as obama has done.
I seriously doubt you will hear speaches from a President Romney pitting classes against each other or races against each other.
I truly believe you will find a President Romney who doesn't seek to wreak havoc on the Constitution or blur the separation of powers and I do believe he will appoint conservative judges and justices when making appointments.
I may be in the minority, but I believe he is the "real deal." He has nothing personal to gain by being president.
Another key point - I do not believe a President Romney will be narcissistic and grandiose when he makes decisions. I do not believe a President Romney will take the "glory" from our Navy SEALS or military endeavors and take the credit, let alone, take information that should remain classified and give it to Hollywood to make movies and TV shows out of that information. In short, I don't expect a President Romney to give aid and comfort to our enemies and commit treason as this current oval office holder is doing and has done and continues to do.
My hope is that there will be a President Romney, if the election is not rigged or we even have an election that is not delayed or done away with by the current administration. -
Although we disagree on our degree of liking Romney, you and the Constitution Party were very influential in getting me to vote for him. I am hoping in place of ObamaCare, we will fashion some type of program through the private sector, maybe with limited government guarantees, to allow anyone who wants insurance the ability to buy it, based on income, not forced.
I will agree with you about Romney on this point. I do not believe he is a grand stander, or has the desire to be the center of attention.
If he wins, I hope everything in your post comes true. If he loses, it is my hope that the Republicans take a move to the right before 2016. I give Romney a better than 50-50 chance, and a slight chance at a landslide depending on events in the next six months. -

While I do not know what his Presidency will look like I have great doubts that we will get more debt than Obama or that he will devastate the life movement. I do not think anyone can have any real inkling until his third year.

Probably closest to Reagan.

He should have a majority in the House and he should pick up a couple of senators from the Republican side. By executive order, on his first day, he will stop overseas funding of abortions. I think he can push through a bunch of legislation meant to chip away at Obamacare. He should be able to extend the Bush tax cuts if they aren't extended by the end of 2012. I think he will get some sort of corporate tax reform passed, even if his plan is watered down by the Dems. He will move fast while the mandate is still fresh. The challenge will be to hold onto the House in the 2014 elections.
