Nobody is backing her...she should be fired. Just another example of the double standard.
-
It's part of the Democrat war on women.
Ann Romney should have used contraception and had abortions rather than choosing to be a stay at home mother. -
For people who spend so much time on line, why do you all seem to ask questions when answer is easily available? In this case:
Step 1 Google ann romney
Step 2 click on the wiki link
VOILLA! usually a reasonable starting point for an investigation. In this case
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Romney
Her bio indicates she never worked a real job and never collected a pay check. If she had an honest work experience someone on Romney's staff would have edited the wiki entry by now. -
Do you have actual knowledge that this was not a paid position? -
Why does it have to be paid to be considered work?
Which is the point really. Rosen, and many people really, do not see it as "work" unless it meets undefined and totally subjective set of standards...like being paid or involves submitting to an authority outside of the home. While most people understand that raising a family is not only real work but it is also very noble work.
Besides, if the veep has limited impact on how people vote how much can we really expect the spouse to impact peoples choices?
Other than Rosen putting her foot in her mouth by speaking what so many progressives actually think, and most conservatives already knew what they think on this issue, this is a non-story. -

Ann Romney raised a family while suffering Multiple Sclerosis, and a bout with breast cancer. She is loved in Massachusetts because of her charity work.

Giving orders to personal servants is not "work."
-
Why is it that if we pay someone for daycare, or being a nanny, or even babysitting, that's their "job" and it's "work"; but if it's the mother, it's not the same?

Housewives deserve more than Rosen...
Dare we bring up Rosen's sexual preference (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilary_Rosen), and wonder if that has something to do with her comments about Ann Romney? I'd say that Rosen needs to get her spiritual house in order before she goes public and attacks the sanctity [something Mormonism holds high] of housewives again! :tear: -
So what's your point? -
The Democrat Party attack on women towards the person of Mrs Romney was (IMO) a smokescreen, in and of a long series to come, to avoid a discussion of the real issue:
The failure and incompetence of this administration's policies and promises.
Prepare also for a shellacking and defamation of the Bush family, especially "W" by certain lower level progressive devotees and yellow press.
The DNC leadership will dutifully be "shocked" and condemn the offenders and apologise to the offendee (after the damage is done of course).

Raising a family is not work?
As a stay at home Mom (who works part time to pay private school tuition for a 3rd grader) I resent that. The left is grasping at any straw they can, aren't they? -

You all would be complaining if the traffic code was enforced. If you "Real Christians" stayed within the speed LIMIT the effect would multiply until it was the norm. Same with all the other "moral" laws you want to impose on the world.
-
All Ann Romney needs to do to demonstrate she has held a job is to post her Social Security work record.
-
Gov Romney has more liabilities than you an shake a stick out, but his wife is NOT one of them.
