..........Liberals like to pretend they are tolerant and accepting of those who are different but when it comes to anyone not ensconced in their progressive, elitist dogma they mock and attack their lifestyle to inspire hate. But because governor Palin is endearing, authentic–and with this latest revelation–easy to identify with, she invokes panic in the left. Why else would they assail a very popular, promising lady and her children?.............
............Perpetuating laughable legend and assailing the American family is akin to the in the buff boycotting. –It makes the lefties look desperate, unstable, paranoid and downright mean. And it will hurt the Democratic brand if it continues.
The back story here has nothing to do with Palin and her family but more to do with the extreme left. All Americans should take note: if liberals aren’t going to show Governor Palin or her family any respect, voters shouldn’t expect their policies to either.
So true. Thats why I was glad to see Sen Obama call off the dogs when they tried to be critical of the teen pregnancy. Even he sees the need of keeping this stuff out of the campaign.
All I ever expected from the lefties or the righties is that they would, keep stealing our property, increase the size of government and race to install a dictatorship favorable to their own ideals.
Being nice to others while you're busy putting a totalitarian government in place is just, well...nice.
By the way, I agree 100% with your post and what Roger said about Obama.
From what I am seeing, the liberals are feeling there is a double standard. The right has always presented themselves as the poster of family values. This is supposedly why the Evangelicals have clung to them.
Palin is very in favor of teaching abstinence and no s@x education whatsoever. I think the left has being saying abstinence is great and we all agree on that, however kids will be kids so we should teach them to be safe also. The message is see, "we all want our kids to practice abstinence. But like your child, our children are taking a gamble on STD's etc... and we would like to make sure they know how to be safe."
You are right. Kids will be kids and with the movies and TV pushing sex into everyones face it is not surprising that kids will be kids to a greater extent than when I was a kid. Sex education is needed and abstinence should be stressed very strongly. It has never made a lot of sense to me that fundamentalists are so strident in their opposition to sex education. Actually if they, and all of us, were really doing our jobs at home there would be no need for sex education in schools. I am continually amazed how mothers and fathers allow their teenage daughters to dress when they go out in public, and to church. Any parent with teenagers who believe their kids do not know about sex are living with blinders on and it is time to face reality. The kids know about sex, what they do not know is that abstinence is best, and if they are not going to abstain then they should know how to protect themselves. Starting life as a 17 or 18 year old mother is a sad, hard way to start life insuring, in a majority of the cases, a life of under-education, over-stress, under education. Not a happy picture.
However the examples that so many kids see in their parents and, sadly, pastors are not Biblical teaching models.
It is time we Christians took our heads out of the sand and became realistic on this topic. :tonofbricks:
If this title of this thread is correct, the retaliation is normal for those in a panic.
We haven't known Palin for a week yet each side is so strong in their position. To the liberals she is the worst thing that has happened to politics and she is the greatest politician of our time to the Republicans. I guess time will tell...
Rom 16:19
For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
A vice president Palin with a 72 year old president at the helm is indeed dangerous - to the survival of the United States if she should, unfortunately, become president.
My belief is that the addition of Palin will drive away Hillary Clinton supporters from voting for McCain.
They will take it as an insult that the Republican party is saying that any woman, even one with almost no credentials for the job, can substitute for Hillary who had tremendous credentials for the job.
Instead of attracking female Democratic voters Palin's selection will drive them away in disgust.
poncho, as a married 37 year-old with 3 kids trying to make ends meet, I too am getting a little tired of being plundered by our friends on the hill...
And you know this how?
Has she spoken about no s@x education whatsoever?
As far as the topic of this thread, oh yes, indeedy, she is a threat to the left and it's about time!
Family values:
Surrounding your family with love and open arms and not aborting your first grandchild and planning for the wedding of the parents of that grandchild is about as American and family values as you can get.
