One of several McCain mistakes or shown weaknesses. Another is he keep saying,
Czechoslovakia. Apparently he either does not know or can't remember that Czechoslovakia no longer exists. It is now the Czech Republic and Slovakia ... two countries. The Czechs are both amused at his ignorance and also insulted that he does not know they exist as a country. I expect the Slovaks feel the same, though I have not had the opportunity to speak with anyone from Slovakia during my first week here.

Palin is certainly pulling her weight solidifying the base. She is still puling large crowds and is the reason McCain is as high in the polls as he currently is. She definitely put a lot of excitement in the McCain camp. Choosing Lieberman would have made this a land slide since a lot of the ultra conservatives would have staid home on Nov 4th.
Palin plus side initially worked as she had drawing power and was pulling votes over the fence. I believe many people now see her as "not ready" which is different from not experienced. True she has executive experience which does make her fully qualified for the office however she failed to impress on the undecided the confidence she is "presidential" especially with the challenges facing the next administration. -
You don't really have to know a lot to draw in single issue voters.
The anti-intellectualism of the conservative movement has peaked (hopefully) with Sarah Palin. you betcha! -

By that, I mean don't be so general so as not to let your audience know EXACTLY what you are referring to.
And I sure hope it's something more than the D talking points. (IE "The Rs will make grandma eat dog food", or "the Rs are going to take away grandpa's social security check", or "Bush lied - peopled died", etc. )
I'm being somewhat specific because us anti-intellectualists need to keep things simple.
Thank you for your valuable time and effort!! -

Since when is being pro-life reduced to bumper stickers and key chains? Human life is worth more than that to most people here.

I guess LeBuick doesn't think a child is a child, until it can apply for welfare.

Just because someone doesn't vote for a party that claims a lot and does nothing about the problem of abortion; this does not mean they are pro-choice.
What have the elected republican officials done to change anything?
Abortion is still very legal. -

It wasn't as low as yer anti-intellectual comment. And I'm very interested in seeing you answer the challenge put to you.
LeBuick IS pro-choice.
The republican base wants abortion stopped, it ain't stopped, and the republican base is disgusted, and is leaving the party in droves.
While the left still thinks children are disposable.
Who's better ? -
The view is always different from the other side of the fence. -

LE... You left out the word VOTE. I said your vote can be had for a bumper sticker. It goes along with being a single issue voter. -

I love it.
Rezko, Wright, Ayers, taxes, ACORN, Hateful Michelle, Pakistan, and you call us "one issue voters".
If the one issue is we think Obama is a fraud, then you are right. -
Michelle hateful??? Wow... -
Sarah Palin may not be perfect, but at least she lives her pro-life position by not aborting her Downs syndrome baby. -

One issue voter my foot. -
She chose what she has said she supports for HERSELF. She gives that same decision to other women. In other words, Palin is pro-choice. -
