An influential Saudi prince has offered an astonishingly blunt assessment of Barack Obama and his dealings with Iran over its nuclear threat: Obama is being played. Moreover, the prince even sided with Israel.
“There’s no confidence in the Obama administration doing the right thing with Iran. We’re really concerned — Israel, Saudi Arabia, the Middle East countries — about this,” Prince Alwaleed bin Talal told Bloomberg.
Alwaleed, like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, believes that Iran, in its ongoing negotiations with the world’s major powers, will pocket whatever sanctions relief it gets without committing to end its nuclear program:
“Why are they offering relief?” Keep the pressure on. Sanctions are what brought about the negotiations to begin with! Why not keep the pressure up?”
Excellent question, Prince Alwaleed. Let’s chalk it up to appeasement and naive wishful thinking, shall we?
“Obama is in so much of a rush to have a deal with Iran He wants anything. He’s so wounded. It’s very scary. Look, the 2014 elections are going to begin. Within two months they’re going to start campaigning. Thirty-nine members of his own party in the House have already moved away from him on ObamaCare. That’s scary for him.”

Ari Fleischer on Twitter:
"The Iran deal and our allies: You can't spell abandonment without OBAMA." -
Sounds like the Saudi's are upset with the idea of funding and arming Al Qaeda fighters in Syria with their own money.
-
Sounds to me like Saudi Arabia knows what this "agreement" has accomplished: Nothing!

Zakaria: The Saudis Are Mad? Tough!
Why we shouldn't care that the world's most irresponsible country is displeased at the U.S.
"....whatever one thinks of the Obama Administration's handling of the region, surely the last measure of American foreign policy should be how it is received by the House of Saud.
If there were a prize for Most Irresponsible Foreign Policy it would surely be awarded to Saudi Arabia. It is the nation most responsible for the rise of Islamic radicalism and militancy around the world. Over the past four decades, the kingdom's immense oil wealth has been used to underwrite the export of an extreme, intolerant and violent version of Islam preached by its Wahhabi clerics.
Go anywhere in the world--from Germany to Indonesia--and you'll find Islamic centers flush with Saudi money, spouting intolerance and hate. -
We need an enemy to fight and Saudi Arabia is supplying one for us. Isn't that what loyal most trusted allies are supposed to do?
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal sounds upset that Saudi Arabia is no longer able to play Americans like a fiddle. Looks like his rather large investment in News Corp aka Fox News isn't paying out the dividends he expected. :tear:
Oh wait I just remembered, Iran is supposed to be our greatest enemy right now, according to our greatest allies. Hard to keep up sometimes, couple moths ago it was Assad, before that it was Gaddafi, before that it was Saddam, before that it was Al Qaeda.
Which brings us right back to Saudi Arabia one of our greatest allies in the middle east? -
If anyone would know about playing American leaders like a fiddle it is the Saudis. They are the best in the world at it.

I don't give a rat's rear end if Iran DOES become a nuclear nation, in fact, besides it not being any of our *&^% business, if it helps the lives of their people out, I'm all for them becoming a nuclear nation.

No one objects to them becoming a nuclear nation so long as it is just to provide energy.. What the world does not want is for them to have nuclear weapons and this is because they are a terrorist state and the will use them for that end. More specifically they will use them to blow Israel off the map. Their words.

This administration will do nothing to prevent Iran from building a bomb, and delivering it via medium-range missile for detonation over Israel, or perhaps Saudi Arabia. Compared to that threat, allowing arms into the hands of rebels in Syria who are questionably al-Qaeda terrorists is laughable. -

Iran owning nuclear weapons will start ww3. Not simply because they will own them but because they will use them for evil purposes.
