Drones, riot gear, police dogs, UN arms control, military to assist police, TSA at train, bus stations, parking lots and more "for your protection" of course.

Throw out the Socialist regime November 6, 2012 (or at least slow it down).

Amen, sad.
It has also been reported that Homeland Security is "gearing up" with riot gear for the Republican Convention, Democratic Convention, and Election.
Brought to you by the president and administration who are busy "dividing and conquering" the sheeple - right out of Saul Alinsky's handbook!!! And the RINOS who go along with it, like those who voted for the 30,000 drones. -
Unless the dogs are brought into your house none of things violate the Bill of Rights. No one knows what "public" and "private" mean any longer.
-
Political type lawyers who redefine "public" and "private".
Its the same old parable about the frog in the kettle.
We have already crossed over many constitutional barriers.
Each step taken by the government to "protect us" (such as the illegal search and seizure done by the TSA) is another step to the progressives destination of 21st century socialism.
Don't forget an American citizen can now be assassinated without due process at the whim of the president.
Don't forget the 50+ million who have been slain since 1973.
What happened to their right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
Etc, etc, etc.

What party controlled Congress when the law was passed?

The difference between the Democrats and the republicans is that the Democrats say openly what they are going to do and do it while the Republicans give a lot of lip service and claim they are standing against this stuff while they are actually sponsoring this stuff behind closed doors or simply turning their heads to it.
By the way the bill of rights has been trash for some time now and our military is continuing to be brained washed into thinking they are preserving it. The truth is that very few in the military much less the nation even know what the constitution really says or stands for in its original writing.
George Bush and the republicans did more to destroy the constitution then any president or party before with the HLS and opened the door wide for what is to come.

From the link...
Help me out here.
Why are you all so against our government being about the buisiness protecting our country, and all of us citizens, from attacks by people who hate us, such as the 9/11 attack?
And regarding riot gear, what do you expect them to wear if morons decide to to riot?? swimming trunks? -
Who has corrupted Homeland Security and extended it's reach beyond anyone's imagination without congressional approval?
Barak Obama -
Congress is not being consulted by Obama, the imperial ruler.
Remember what your imperial ruler said? He would use whatever means at his disposal to accomplish his goals. And Congess is not at his disposal. So he orders it on his own.
And democrats would block any congressional action toward impeachment, the only tool they have to control or stop a criminal president. -
Indeed both parties have trashed the constitution.
Bush baked the cake, Obama has put the frosting on it and is serving it up.
"let them eat cake (but no more than 200 calories worth!)".

The 30,000 drones was passed by a Republican House and Democratic Senate and signed into law by BO.
The TSA molesting passengers has been done by the BO administration. Before that, under GW, it was taking off your shoes and going through metal detectors.

Every president swears to uphold the Constitution (as he/she interprets it).
A clue is their voting record.
Another problem is the large segment of our population at large who are ignorant of the basics of our constitutional republic.
An oversimplification? Yes but true.
Fox news did a survey of folks asking them from what nation we rebelled.
More than one did not know.

I remember when the patriot acts were made law and the DHS was formed asking you all how you'd feel when a democrat inherited these new expanded powers.
Seems like you guys aren't all that supportive of them now. Bush may have baked the cake and Obama may have put the icing on it but you all helped stir the batter if I remember correctly. And I usually do.
I distinctly remember how I got blasted by the red white and blue (neo) conservatives here for saying the patriot acts and DHS were bad ideas. "Hang the constitution we want to be safe was the mantra back then."

What happened to that? I remember Bush being called a nazi by the left for taking us to war. Obama has not only continued those wars he's expanded them and started new ones without even consulting with congress! Where has the antiwar left been all this time?
I remember the left going bonkers over the patriot acts. Screaming and hollering and sueing. Obama has not only continued the attack on civil liberties he's elevated it to the point he claims power over life and death itself on his say so alone? Where's the left's devotion to civil liberties now?
In baking terms . . .
The cake got baked like this as I remember. Republicans mixed the batter, Bush put it in the oven, Obama took it out and put on the icing and now the democrats are serving it up in big helpings to all of us.
In boxing terms . . .
It's the ole one two punch. A right cross and a left hook straight to the jaw of the republic.
The republic went down hard on the mat while the crowd was cheering for the democrats and republicans! Not for the same reasons of course but what does that matter now that the republic is down for the count?
That's what I remember.
The only decision left now is who is going to come in and finish the badly wounded republic off? Will Obama get the privilege or will it be Romney? Hey it's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. But who?
You decide. -
I have never seen such a nest of conspiracy nuts and paranoids as seemingly populate what is supposedly a Christian forum. If this were representative of most Baptists, then the denomination has become a cult of crazies far beyond the vision of Baptist forebears who saw their role as spreading the message of Christ changing lives and saving souls. -
Every act against freedom of speech , freedom of association , freedom of assembly is an act against the church and a blow to the doctrine of the separation of church and state as the church depends on all these rights to thrive.
And in fact the history of Baptists and anabaptists includes historical events (both social and religious) which our forebears opposed then and yes even fled said tyrannical forces which are re-emerging now.
Call us what you will.
We were not silenced then nor will we be silenced now.
