You have to admire Spector for being right up front for his reason for switching. Who would want to lose that cushy country club job. Best health care, gold plated retirement plan, free vacation, good pay. And we pay for it all. The truth is Spector would feel comfortable in either party.
....his age, etc., I'd say the GOP needs to have him medically evaluated. He's either had a "Senior moment" [medically innocent event], or he's had some for of a stroke/TIA, which would be not so innocent medical event, and in that case, the GOP could remove the old goat for medical incompetence, and nominate a Repub to the seat.:flower:
After all, he is 79, and he could have a blood flow issue in his carotid artery. This prevents the normal amount of blood to flow to the brain. This condition would cause one to have a personaltity shift [or in this case, a party shift], and usually results in the patient not being able to make clear, and concise decisions. This would be one more reason to have him medically removed from office.:tear:
The GOP needs to get moving on this, time is important.
