I enjoy jazz.
Frank Zappa's "The Grand Wazoo" is fantastic.
For a bit of jazz/funk I can listen to some Trombone Shorty.
Another oldie, but goody is anything by John Coltrane.
So, what are you listening to? (Not Necessarily Christian Music Edition)

Oddly enough, nowadays most of the music I listen to is on the computer -- Facebook and YouTube (probably not odd for lots of folks, but somewhat for me). Most all I listen to is Christian music. Last I listened to that wasn't was When the Roses Bloom Again, a "war song" Mother was reminiscing about.

To clarify, I only meant odd regarding what people might expect as my usual. But, yes, like you, much of what I want to listen to is not readily available -- either on the radio or CD -- but a lot is on YouTube (of course, there's a lot of everything on YouTube, apparently!).

Through a weird series of events, I ended up living next door to his sister in Delaware and I have an autographed drum head from him and Rick.
Interesting piece of trivia: Levon and Rick were so close in life that they made a pact to be buried together and they are. Buried next to one another in a little graveyard in Woodstock. -

But like I said, she did get me an autographed drumhead, which is now in my music room.
I got to see a later incarnation of The Band, not long after Richard died, in a little bar called the Satelite Lounge in Wrightstown, NJ back in the 80s and did get to see Levon (before I knew his sister) back around 2005. After that, he didn't tour much. -

I guess I will be the odd duck. I like 80s New Wave Dance Alternative Dark Wave with a taste of female vocalist and some Scottish Irish. Yes I like a few Christian songs also...
I have a text version of my songs if interested.... just under 3,000 songs. Be glad to send ya a copy to compare if you have an interest in the same music. -
I just finished a two-hour drive. I was listening to Mendelssohn: Symphony 3 "Scottish."
Oh, and Mozart: Sinfonia Concertante in C major for Flute, Harp & Orchestra.
(That one is best when played very very loud, and the windows open.)

Shepherds' Farewell by Berlioz, from his "Childhood of Christ."
Haunting and beautiful - I've got the music and have been singing along with soprano and tenor parts.
It's a wonderful highlight. I don't like the work as a whole. -
