    Anyone heard the Appalacian Spring?

I am looking forward to Ode to Joy, myself.

Applacian Spring? Is that by Aaron Copeland? I haven't really liked his stuff too much...

Now, "Ode to Joy" is another matter...

I like Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.

I don't think I've heard Appalachian Spring. I'll have to check it out, since I'm from Appalachia.

How about Messiah with full orchestra, chorus and soloists?

I like all those that were mentioned. Aaron Copland has some eccentricities, but dont all male musicians?? :saint:

Some of my favorite performances that my wife have attended in the past few years:

Orff's Carmina Buranna: The entire thing, not just the part everyone knows from The Omen.

Itken's Exodus with William Shatner Narrating. It was absolutely awesome.

Mcbeth's Wine from these Grapes performed by the Dallas Wind Symphony and conducted by Mcbeth.

Then there was the performance we saw last year by the President's Own Marine Band. They are truly one of the best bands in the world.
