LeBuick, feel free to make stuff up if you'd like.

People are protesting the size, spending, and scope of the federal government.

Was that too difficult for you to understand?

Good grief...I'm glad there weren't too many of you in 1776...we'd still be paying taxes to the Crown.

AMEN and AMEN!...

It tickles me that CNN (Communist News Network) and NBC (Nothing But Communists) are slandering us fine Americans that are standing for the founding principles of the US...

Then to top it off, Big Sis... DHS calls us Rightwing extremists...Just because we oppose big government, and abortion...

IT's time to fire the bums.

It is time to take them to court for their illegal activity.

Although I may have received a tax cut, I can still protest run away spending and tax increases on those who fund our economy.

Although I may have benefited personally (short term) I still recognize how bad this is for our nation.

I agree 100%. However some I heard felt Obama is taxing them to the poor house. That simply isn't true. The constitution gives us the right to protest but I hope our protest is based on facts and not fear.

First off this it totally non partisan. No elected politicians will be allowed to speak at any of the events I read about.

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/04/13/kelly-fox-tea-party/

Fox News appears to have not tried too hard to find lawmakers attending the events. As ThinkProgress reported last week, at least 11 Republican lawmakers and governors have signed on to speak at local events:

– Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) will be speaking at the Salt Lake City protest.

– Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-KS) and a representative from Rep. Sam Graves’ (R-MO) office will be speaking at the Overland Park protest.

– Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) will be speaking at the Shreveport protest.

– Rep. Ander Crenshaw (R-FL) will be speaking at the Jacksonville protest.

– Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH) will be speaking at the Wauseon protest.

– Rep. John Shadegg (R-AZ) and former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) will be speaking at the Phoenix protest.

– Rep. Sue Myrick (R-NC) will be speaking at the Charlotte protest.

– Rep. Bill Posey (R-FL) will be speaking at the Brevard protest.

– Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) will be speaking at the Longview protest.

– Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC) will be speaking at the protest in Columbia.

Additionally, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported yesterday that Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) will be appearing at tea party protests as well. Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-MT), Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA), and Rep. Tom Rooney (R-FL) have also been urging their constituents to attend tea party protests while Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) is sponsoring a bill in Congress to honor the protests.

Look, this has been explained:

The problem is not just taxation...it is the SIZE, SPENDING, AND SCOPE of the Federal government.

Try and keep up.

I agree that not all are exremist but you have to admit there were a few signs that were way out there... How about hang em high for instance?

http://twitpic.com/3coww

This one is as subtle as one can be; The American Taxpayers are the Jews for Obama's ovens...

Stand idle while a Kenyen destroys America really speaks for itself

And my personal favorite was the guy who made no attempts to mask his true identity...

You might want to leave him home if you're going to say you're not Rightwing extremists... Just a thought...

I wouldn't be surprised if those were leftist plants. My rally was very low-key, well behaved, well attended, and everyone cleaned up after themselves.

So you got like 6 examples out of everyone that attended every party. Want me to peruse the lefty blogs & put up offensive jabs at conservatives ?

You can tell a lot just looking at the pictures.

These "protesters" actually cleaned up after themselves, and when told that there was a problem with their permit, they went home. Compare that to any of the left wing protests. Compare that to the trashing of the mall Obama's Ascension day caused.

See, this is why it's hard for me to take you very seriously.

Millions rally. You find six examples of bad apples (which, by the way, there were media such as CNN looking specifically for such). So, you dismiss the cause.

I'll say it again: Thank God there weren't lots of you around in 1776. We wouldn't have this great country.

Quit being contrarian just for the sake of it, and admit the truth...that the protesters have a valid point.

You won't be able to, the language is too offensive and crude for the BB. Like usual.

Has anyone seen a count of how many were at these rallies? 10 million? 20 million? 30 million?

Of course, it was ignorant, inbred folks  ...Come on Ken, you know we can't count that high. Heck, we have to take a shoe off to count to eleven.

Pardon me, but your air of superiority is showing.

So...you don't think the federal government has too much power?

... or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (from Amendment I, U.S. Constitution)
I just wonder how many supporters of the policies of this current (or any other given) Administration are highly annoyed at finding the presence of these words in the Constitution, when the ideas expressed are held by one who does not happen to agree with his or her own ideas?

I know one thing: Obama's Sec. of Homeland "Security," Janet Napolitano, regrets that those words are part of the Constitution...

I'm pleased that the government permitted you all to protest peacefully in public. That is how the system is supposed to work. You all self employed and/or retired? I hope none of you good Christians disgraced Jesus by calling in a "sick day." Or were you all on your lunch hour?

Exactly what do you all propose to do about your unhappiness? Circulate recall petitions against your elected officials? Would that not be the "American" and "Constitutional" course of action?

1) Come on Ken, you know we can't count that high. Heck, we have to take a shoe off to count to eleven.

2) So...you don't think the federal government has too much power?

1) In other words the total number of attendees nationwide was probably about the same number of people who voted for the Libertarian Party presidential nominee, Bob Barr, last November - 523,713 - and about as influential.

2) Overall? No.
