That is nonsense. I never said nor implied in any way that murder should not be illegal.
So, I took the time to explain something to you that you failed to understand and you slander me?
Everybody in this thread is against gun violence. Everyone. The issue is violating the rights of law abiding citizens.
And in case you failed to notice, gun violence is already illegal. Murder is already illegal. Rape is already illegal.

Because of what follows below...
Wow. Just wow. How much more selfish and profoundly un-Christian can that go?

None. Yet. That is why we have one of the most stable Republics in the world.

<Sigh> I will try one more time. Murder is a crime because it deprives another person of their right to life.
A law abiding citizen in this country owning a firearm is not a crime because it does not deprive anyone of life, liberty, or property.
This is a fairly simple concept. I am astonished you faith so miserably to understand it.

I believe America stands alone with the Bill of Rights.
Hmm, In spite of all the violence in America folks from around the globe risk "life and limb" and/or sacrifice their entire treasure to get here.
I am pro-life (deny it if you wish - your privilege) - I condemn murder with a gun (Las Vegas) as well as with a scalpel (abortion) or a pressure cooker or a car or knives or aircraft crashed into buildings, etc, etc...
Yes, my wife and I own firearms, pressure cookers, cars, knives, haven't killed anyone with any of those things.
No amount of propaganda, attempts to send us on guilt trips or marxist influence/rhetoric will ever cause us to rescind the Bill of Rights.

And right up until 2208 hours on Sunday local time, Paddock was a law-abiding citizen legally owning a firearm. Do you not see the problem with that?

Sorry, but I don't see how you can claim to be pro-life and support a status quo that results in the sort of events the world witnessed on Sunday in Vegas. No amount of mental gymnastics and diversion tactics are going to dig you out of that hole.

Well, to be honest, our obsession with guns started 250 years ago, when the king trued ti take them away from us.
As for American tyrannical governments--the second amendment hasn't been put to that test; but it seems like every time the Dems get into office....
By the way -- when are you blokes gonna ban all knives, since I still read/hear about Brits getting stabbed all the time?

The fact that you can't see the error in this post is amazing.
You just admitted that it's the use, not the weapon, that defines legality.

Right up until the time you commit rape you are a law abiding citizen. But just in case we should force you to be emasculated.
We don't punish people in this country because we think they might, some day, commit a crime.

The Vegas shootings were not caused by the Constitution. They were caused by an evil person.

Do tell me how many of the 58 would have died if Paddock hadn't had any guns?

But the 2nd Amendment kind of helped. I mean, you don't kill too many people by going up to them, pointing two fingers at them and shouting 'Bang!'

And the fact that you don't give a straight answer means you know you don't have one
