If the shooting was a spur of the moment 'crime of passion' instead of planned out the magazine could very well have been plugged. Just sayin.

I never have be understood what's the big deal about being armed at Church, the pioneers and many before them did it from necessity. It's again become necessary.

Yes, it doesn't. AFAIK, most magazine-equipped shotguns come with factory-installed plugs. So, you have to know that the plug is removable.

On Sept 2nd, crazy Joe Biden said he was confused on why anyone ar church would need a handgun. Really?

They just has the guy that shot and killed the intruder, he was a licensed weapons instructor. Sadly, this is necessary in our day

Many outlets are stating that the man who shot the killer is an armed member of a security force, leaving out the fact he's a member of the congregation.

What is actually being "celebrated" here is the fact that he was stopped from killing many more people. That he died in the process is merely incidental to stopping him.

Are you beginning to wonder why we have been told nothing about the shooter yet? If he had worn a MAGA hat or had a Trump sticker on his car, the whole world would know it by now.

    Good point, Brother Light

I saw a Ft. Worth interview with the guy who took out the shooter. He said don't ever take a head shot if you can help it. It has to be the shot of last resort. One shot one kill. Nerves of steel and steady hand.

I agree to a point, read what is actually being said. It is a fine line.

I agree, and that is precisely my point. We need to be careful how we are coming across.

He was a "volunteer" on the church security force, so he was just a member of the congregation like you pointed out. Of course the media outlets would leave that salient fact out.

    Just a bit of information.

A relatively new TEXAS law states that a church may have an organized team in place which are armed during a church service.

The members of that team are the ONLY ones who may legally carry weapons into a church service.

The security members are listed on a document kept by the church on file, and ONLY those on that document are permitted.

They do not broadcast that they are part of that team, and it is actually frowned upon for members of the congregation to know who is a member of that team.

Not even the local police are informed who is and isn't on that team.

Something to do with telegraphing warnings to those desiring to do harm if everyone starts looking at Joe and Josephine to protect them.

Here in Texas, more and more churches have formed some manner of security team.

    Our church does.
