Are you beginning to wonder why we have been told nothing about the shooter yet? If he had worn a MAGA hat or had a Trump sticker on his car, the whole world would know it by now.

God bless those alert security volunteers.

Or maybe law enforcement has realized they should not give these murderers the publicity they seek.

I saw a picture of the parishioner aiming and about to shoot from the side from about 40+ feet away, so must have been some pretty good shooting. Undeniable testament to the right to bear arms and protect the innocent. Bet the gunman never dreamed he'd be put where he belongs so quickly.

I watched an uncut video where after the gunman shoots a man who abruptly stood up and tried to draw his gun and then was shot from 40' away the video shows at least 4 others with guns drawn closing in on the already downed gunman. Then I watched a news reporter say how churches were easy targets - um, not in Texas!

Now, some critix will start hollering how ungodly armed parishioners were, etc. However, we don't know how many more innocent people that now-dead schmuck woulda shot.

God certainly does not forbid self-defense !

Reports state that all the shooting took place in just 6 seconds. Super quick response saved lives.

Church Pastor Thanks Texas For Allowing His Congregation to Be Armed

"...The gunman was quickly killed by a security guard after the attacker fired three rounds from his shotgun...."

Hmm, if the magazine was plugged in order to restrict to 3 rounds max (as is required in many states) the attacker may have been holding an empty gun when he was shot.

It is a proven fact that criminals commit less crime after they have been shot and killed.

While I am glad that the citizens were able to take action, I think we need to be very careful about celebrating the death of anyone. After all, if he was not saved he is spending eternity in Hell and that is nothing to be celebrated.

Well on the face of it he must not have been saved, because if he had been he wouldn't have done what he did. Now, are you saying that if he was saved (according to your determination of how one is actually saved), that he could kill 2 people and avoid Hell? Please explain.

While I like to tout my Texas as much as anybody, we have been easy targets in the past. However, lots of Texans carry, and I think after prior church shootings, more are starting to carry to church services.
Probably most people are not of celebrating the death of the gunman (though it can come across that way), but rather are celebrating the heroic actions that stopped greater loss of life.

The perp's actions certainly point to his not being saved, but only he and God know for sure. 1 Cor. 10:12 says, "Wherefore, let him who thinketh he standeth take heed, lest he fall." To me, that verse infers that I'm capable of the most heinous sin, other than rejection of salvation (settled almost 50 years ago), and to think otherwise opens me to prideful failure.

And to kyredneck: True statement, though someone with such murderous intent probably would've removed the plug, unless he was so mad that he forgot. Nevertheless, when one (or one's friends) are being shot at, one doesn't wait to hear "click" before neutralizing the threat.

I doubt if that person was interested in obeying ANY law ! (Doesn't take much to remove a shotgin plug.)
