Oh, so you think God is confused and allows man to establish the inerrancy of His word by subjecting God to gross readings of His word by preservation?
I'm really beginning to wonder if I am talking to people who are in touch with all their faculties.
God uses many vehicles to deliver his word. Balaam got it from his donkey. moses got it from a burning bush. Belshazzar got it from a wall. Jump to the New Testament and some got it from Peter, some got it from John, some got it from Paul, some got it from slaves, etc.
Textual criticism has been around for as long as there have been multiple copies of scripture. Does any here think the TR just pulled itself together? No, it was assembled through textual criticism. Not every difference was put into the TR, but choices were made and that was that.
Textual criticism continues to be used today, and in the exact same way. The main difference is that many more manuscripts are available today due to archeological discoveries and preservation efforts.
Sal, your comprehension problem and your confusion grow worse every day. When did I ever say God's confused? Here's a clue for you, Sal, since you're so clueless and confused. I never said God's confused! It's absolutely absurd for you to falsely accuse a Chistian of even thinking for one second that God can be confused about anything. Deliberate misrepresentations are apparently a staple of the KJVO crowd. Why is it that when you get backed up against a wall you start telling deliberate falsehoods? Do you think God condones such things, Sal? Or is it that you just don't care anymore?
At least try to get it straight for once, Sal. It's KJVO folks like yourself who are extremely confused.
BTW, Sal, it's you KJVOs who apparently have lost touch with your faculties. You guys believe God isn't capable of prserving His word without preserving a particular set of English words. You believe God promised to preserve His word but that He lied and didn't deliver His preserved word until years later, and then only in a language that didn't exist when Scripture was written. And you accuse us of not being in touch with our faculties??? That's hilarious, Sal.
