Ok now! Found the trash cans in the field. Found Sosh..my other cat (hiding in neighbors Pine Trees. I tried to fix swing best I could in the rain...and just left the table broke. Will try to fix it after rain is gone.

Betty you are lucky you missed it. But Katie and Sue should be experiencing it right about now. Maybe even Gina. Hope our Arkansas friends are alright. I think this storm came more from the Jonesboro AR, way.

Well...all be safe...there are Tornado Warnings in these storms.

Well my ears hurt now. From getting soaked in the rain I guess.

We got a lot of rain, but I don't think we had the hail or severe winds. I was a little worried when I saw on the weather last night there were tornado warnings around Dexter. When I looked a little closer I noticed it was Dexter, KS not Dexter, MO. It sounds like you might have got some of the same weather though.

My son in the 2nd grade is supposed to go on a field trip today. I hope the rain doesn't prevent them from going. It seems to have stopped for now.

We got hail the size of marbles this morning right about the time for me to leave for work. Had to have hubby take me so the lil one's wouldn't have to walk in the rain. It is supposed to be kinda rainy this weekend but hopefully it will work around my plans (Ha this is Missouri for sure). I haven't been in the coffee shop lately and I hope all is well and since it is almost dinner time how about a nice chef salad for dinner and a tall glass of mt. dew maybe in one of those hats if you please! God Bless Ya'll!

Health Inspectors blackbird. They are on to you! Not only that, but I heard, someone in the Coffee Shop wants to put a Prairie Dog Museum in the "Coffee Shop"!

Jessica...I will be having the same. Shrimp and Chicken in my Salad. Just no Soda. I am having Cranberry/Apple Juice. Better for you.

Hi jon! Glad to hear the funeral was good. A saved person's funeral just seems to move so much smoother doesn't it.

You got that right. And you should hear how "Chickasha" gets mangled repeatedly. You know, some folks can't even get Miami (Mi'-a-muh) right, much less Konawa (only the big-city TV folk pronounce it "Kon-a'-wa.")

Hey we have some of those names here...like Tallapoosa....and Chautauqua....These are just a couple.

We even have Chautauqua Festival. There is always singing in the tents then! And midnight dancing in the streets!

    Sir:

We are happy to inform you that your revised plans for Blackbird's Bass Boutique have been approved, with a few modifications:

    1. To fit the zoning restrictions, the boutique must limit retail sales to no more than 25 percent of the establishment's total business. Because most fishermen talk more about fishing than actually do it, this should pose no difficulty.

    2. The Browning Automatic Rifle, sad to say, must be left under lock and key. While the proposed "Possum Shoot" booth sounds like fun, it cannot be allowed within the city limits.

    3. No live bait. Period. However, a variance could be arranged if you would call it a sushi bar. Just a suggestion.

    4. Fishing tackle must be kept well away from the food section. Too many opportunities for mischief. As you know, the board has a number of folks who will swallow anything hook, line and sinker.

    5. While we understand the need for security in this day and age, a razor wire partition between the Boutique and the Vive Paris Salon Magnifique next door cannot be allowed. However, zoning laws do allow such a boundary from the Calvinism-Arminianism Cafe, should you think that appropriate.

    6. The 51-inch TV for continuous viewing of Benny Hinn videos does not fit within your zoning requirements. Sorry.

Again, feel free to contact us with any further questions. We are readily available most mornings, except during full moons, odd-numbered days and days derived from Norse mythology.

P.S. We are still reviewing the submitted plans for Dove's Holey Wear. We are unsure whether this is for liturgical vestments or second-hand clothing. Please respond. The answer is of parament importance.

    Dancing in the streets, Sherrie?

I had no idea Dexter was such a den (or din, depending on the music) of iniquity.

I am hereby giving notice that guns have no place in a place of peace and quiet, civility and coffee. The gun rack may stay, but it must remain empty of those nasty killing machines.

My barrister will despatch the official letter.

    Cheers,

    Hahahahahaha!

Well now....I wonder how blackbird will take this. I told him to stay away from the doughnuts.

I have to agree with Jim....the rack can stay but the gun must not.

But not to worry...we can hang other things from the rack, like windshield dice that say, "I have been to the BaptistBoard Coffee Shop and all I got was this lousey set of dice on a string!" Yeah...thats what we could do...hang stuff on it for the tourist....yeah....

After further review, it has come to our attention that no firearms should be on the premises. After examining the dossiers of some of the clientele (especially the Okies) we have determined such weapons constitute an unacceptable risk to the peace and order of the thread.

Please check your firearms with the police chief as you enter town, please.

hahahahahaha Just as I was writing the no gun thingy, my older daughter walked in with her hunting rifle. She is an avid hunter.

Thought it was ironic, the timing......

    Cheers,
