    Good Morning Blackbird!

    It's all Diane's fault!

She caught a cold and sneezed on her monitor and I caught it. You must have caught mine from me just talking about it.

21º here this morning with 11º wind chill. I am gonna have to buy me some long johns so I won't freeze on 'the corner'!

    I want some pretty ones!

Morning all! Welcome Back Sheila! We did ask about you but 99 assured us you were fine. He did mention you were heading out on a holiday too tho. Are you back from your trip?

Sue, That's quite a bargain if you got the table and the new retro chairs all for that price!!

Blackbird... sorry about the cold. I usually only get one in March. One a year... but this one hit me last Friday night and is just clearing up. My head is still quite full but I figure I'll be fine by Sunday!

Oh no, I hear Dr. Bob stirring. We must be making too much noise! It's only 6:00 there! Shhhh!!

    WHAT'S ALL THE NOISE?

Oh, pounding from putting up stockings by the chimney. That's OK.

Thought Sue found her new table had "some assembly required"!

And glad to have Sheila back. Maybe SOMEBODY will type with me when it's midnight in the Rockies. [IMG]

HI Dr. Bob, I TRIED to get them to keep the noise down! I knew you'd be curled up next to the Pot Belly (you awful man you!) LOL Hubby loved that one!

If I nap during the day I stay up late at night or if my boys are watching sports.... If not, I'm sleepy by midnight our time which is a lot earlier for you. Wish I could help but then the Lord knows the needs of the board and we are well covered by those from all time zones!

When this happens to our house, we blame the dog, Muffin. He is the one that scatters his toys and doesn't pick them up.

Did your dog clutter your apartment?

    Isn't it a great day?

It's getting close to Christmas. I'm trying to be good, I'm trying to be good, I'm trying to be good. [IMG]

I don't have a present under the tree. [IMG]

I have my things from my secret pal, Betty. I hung up some of the items that are decorations and have used some of the candles but I don't have a present under the tree. Nick will 'get me something' but Jim and I really can't afford to exchange gifts.

My Jim loaded some of Nick's computer games that won't play on my Windows XP on his computer in the rec room downstairs so it has been very quiet this afternoon. LOL. We had gotten Nick a Math game that just would not work on this computer but had no problem at all on the other.... Plus.. he loaded Test Drive 6. I'm betting that's the one being played the most!

    Hi all!

    Dr. B.: When I don't sleep...NO ONE sleeps! [IMG]

Dale and I just got back from Wal-Mart and grocery shopping (and lunch at our favorite restaurant).

I am going to try and take a short [IMG] before I have to go back to 'the corner'.

Keep 'em in line Diane! [IMG]

Nick put an envelope with his letter to Santa in our mailbox on Monday. Just Santa Claus, North Pole.... No return address... nothing else. Today he got a nice letter from Santa addressed to HIM. He's so excited!
    ............. [IMG]

I sure will keep them in line Sue! [IMG]

Like the little fella who finished his Christmas list and said, "Send a FAX to Santa; EMAIL it to God. But I want to PHONE Grandma personally!"

Thank you all for your welcomes. I have missed talking to you all. At the moment I am having to share the computer with both Rob and Sam, as Sam is building one of his own. I don't quite know how that stops him using his existing one tho. Hopefully I will be online sometime later tomorrow, when I get back from uni.

    Good night and God Bless

Helloo stranger. Good to see you back in the saddle. It was good to talk to Diane on the telephone. It was almost as good as the BB.

I hated the traffic in Atlanta. Once we got to Canton, it eased up. I lika the Canton. Get me away from the marsh and give the the mountains.

    Gib-glad to be home [IMG]

I'd dearly LOVE to say my dog cluttered my apartment...but I don't HAVE a dog. :( I guess Muffin did it!!! :D
Me either...but then, I don't have a tree yet!! [IMG]

I have to go for a dental x-ray tomorrow...no big deal, other than it takes away from what I need to do! I have to go to Dallas for it, so it'll take most of the morning.

Sheila... guess you realize you were missed, huh?? We LOVE you, and we DO miss you when you are not here for several days!!

I will get my Christmas cards mailed tomorrow, and I need to get stocking stuffers for my brother and sil. I also need to get some stuff to do some baking. But first I need to figure out what I want to bake this year...I will do that tonight and make my "list".

I need to send Santa a letter...maybe I'll get a letter back from him!!

Diane... does Nick watch Norad track Santa on Christmas Eve? Actually, I remember doing that years ago when we were kids and we got SOOOOOO excited!!! My parents set out milk and cookies for Santa, and in the morning, they were GONE!!! I couldn't believe it!!! That was so fun!!!

    Later...CJ

CJ: We used to do that too. I still do it with my grands when they are here, only I always leave a carrot for Rudolph too. [IMG]

Last year I had a grand with me over Christmas and we left out the treats and Brent wrote a note to Santa and Santa wrote one back!!! He was amazed! :D

He knew I was the 'real' Santa, but it was still fun!

Time for me to get off of here and do some more crocheting before I go to bed. My poor fingers are so sore. :(

    Pleasant dreams all!

( Dr.B. Please keep it quiet in here after I have gone to bed...tyvm!) [IMG]

He sure does C.J. We also leave cookies and milk but Nick wants to leave out soda this year so if Santa burps, he'll wake up and get to see him. LOL

I'm really sleepy tonight! Let's not forget JofA tomorrow night. Joan is quite tempted!

Our son just called. His wife has been in New York for 2 weeks training for Morgan Stanley. She's been rushed to the hospital in Long Island with either the flu or some serious upper respiratory illness.

Scott is home with their baby in Baltimore. Please pray for her!

Praying for your daughter-in-law. Some serious illnesses floating around this season, seems to me.

And Sue, I WILL keep it quiet. Usually everyone goes to bed and I sit and talk to myself and drool.

See my "smilie" above? BEATIN' A DEAD HORSE! Which I've done tonight. Get here late and everyone's gone.

Story of my life. It's +4F, crystal clear and c-o-l-d. Guess I will turn the electric blanket up to par-broil and crawl in.

Wow, did you say it was 4 degrees at your place Dr. Bob? Now that is getting cold! But there is no reason to turn the electric blanket to a "broil" just yet. [IMG]

We had an actual heat-wave yesterday - 45. After the snow, the rain came and everything melted. Well, almost everything... We have a few dirt piles left in place of the snow. And today we will have pretty much the same... 44. As the holiday season is drawing nigh, we are becoming busier and busier. Trust and hope that your Advent season will be filled with awe and reverence to the One Who is the reason for the seaon! Have a blessed day you'all! [IMG]
