Many have made jokes about Obama and his community organizer background, but the truth is, I salute him for cleverly massaging the minority groups of this nation into one huge juggernaut. A juggernaut that got him elected over a highly controversial and questionable conservative.
When you look at what Obama did over his first four years, history will have to give him credit for forcing the healthcare act down the throats of the majority of Americans. That one piece of legislation brought a ton of Obama supporters to his side.
However, he didn't stop there. He reversed the "Don't ask, don't tell!" policy, and came out in support of gay marriage. He also rallied those who see their citizenship as one big entitlement, and cleverly brought the Hispanics [both illegal and legal] on board as he passed [illegal as it was] the two-year moratorium on deporting illegal immigrants, and promised that in his second term, he'd get immigration reform on the table and passed.
I can almost assure you that whether you agree with amnesty or not, he will get immigration reform passed.
Of course, he always had the black vote [whether he did a good job or not, they stuck with their man], so if you think about it, he rallied numerous minority groups during his first four years [groups the RNC dumped], and in the end it meant he'd retire from office as a two-term president.
Quite an accomplishment for a community organizer. His professors at Harvard, Columbia, and Occidental must be terribly proud of him, because I am impressed, even though I don't like his politics!
He may be just the smartest man to sit in DC in years. Next to Bush that is [hehehehe]
