times a week have i lost a pound.

Oh well, i've got to be careful not to GAIN those pounds. And i've got to be careful NOT to go back to eating sinful stuff like BREAD, RICE, POTATOES,
and anthing that tastes good cause it has SUGAR in it

My doctor's office advises i watch my cholesterol input. They forget i can eat no cholesterol at all, that my liver makes it (i seem to have an
extra effecient cholesterol making liver). So on the low carb diet my body is breaking up fat moloceules to make energy (to replace the lack
of carbs) AND to make cholesterol.

Did you know cholesterol is your bodies energy back-up system? When you run out of the from sugars from your system, you "get a second wind" cause your body starts burning cholesterol. Unfortunately, we have burdened ourselvs with so much evil carbs that we have to run two miles
or four before we start burning cholesterol.
Sorry, i get winded climing a set of stairs. My idea of exercise is to mosey about 1/8 a mile
around the block.

Honestly tho, I have tried to stop my snacking. That's what edges my weight back up. Used to be, if I were worried or nervous, I couldn't eat. Now I eat when I'm anxious~ Ought to do something physical instead!

Congratulations on your steady weight loss Ed!

I am still going up and down. I will lose 2# and gain 1 1/2 back!!

It's really hard with the grandkids here because I have to fix them healthy meals 3x a day.

When there is just hubby and I - I only fix one big meal (supper) and I eat eggs, meat, or veggies the other 2 meals as I am here by myself...

Wife is working at her diet and lost 10 pounds. Amazed at how better clothes fit (esp in the upper arms where 55 year old women tend to gather excess flab).

Encouraging me to kick in and work at it. I have lost most of my motivation (hey, if the MD says you're going to die in a couple years, who cares about diet!)

So today I am eating fruit and cutting back on the fat again. It is an easy way for me to drop pounds.

That, and lite beer.

(JUST JOKING!!

PS - Doc - it's time to find a new doctor - one that'll tell you what you want to hear!

Ever since finding this thread i'm thinking about giving diet soft drinks another try .
-ducks from Dr.Bob- you missed

I'm also going to be checking into splenda for my iced tea. I'm about umm 40 lbs over what i'm supposed to be. Not huge or anything i'm comfy where I am but, later on those 10 extra lbs per child might catch up with me so might get them off now.

I do have one of those walking things from McDonalds that i'm going to begin using if i can get it away from my daughter

God Bless

What is with that, anyway? Notice so many older women, but never see males with that. Is it just from muscle development over the years?

Or maybe evolutionary ties to women and bats . .

OK, since I'm sitting here drinking one, I'll give you the info:

Serving Size: 1 can
Total Fat: 0g
Sodium: 45mg
Total Carb: 18g
sugars: 18g
Protein: 0g

Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, potassium benzonate (to protect taste), potassium citrate, caffine, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, sucralose.

The artificial sweeteners are potassium citrate, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, and sucralose. Coca-Cola decided to try out a blend of artificial sweeteners in order to water down the aftertaste.

I love it, and so does my teenage daughter.

oh, and somewhere on the horizon...

Last week our plant (yes, I work for Coca-Cola) ran five or six test batches of variations of Diet Coke.

Translation: Coca-Cola USA had us run several small batches of test formulas in order to taste test them in the market.

We also did this for C2, back in December. So, in a few months there just might be a new Diet Coke coming out. If I hear anything, I'll pass it along.

Lea,

How did you like it?

Do me a favor. Look on the bottom of the can (I'm assuming you bought an 8 pack or an 18 pack). Well, if you bought an 18 pack, I know we didn't run it, but look on the bottom of the can.

After the date (DEC0604), what are the next two letters? If they are 'CV' then it came from my plant.

In Christ,

18 carbs a can leaves me out. I am trying to only eat 30 carbs a day!

I will have to stick with my DDP right now. It has ZERO carbs...

Thanks for the info!!!
