    -wiggles nose- See and I thought he was going to pick on my post :eek:

    But I like Soda, I like Iced tea even more. It's my Coffee. And it has some pleasent side effects as well. [​IMG]

    well, I basically stick to water, decaf coffee and tea and my nice Atkins shakes. I'll have an occasional diet Sprite. Lost 62!

    Not you personally, Lea, just you in general. ;)

    (I appreciate your good-naturedness. Sure a welcome relief from the normal folks hanging around, giving me a hard time. Some of them are tougher than nails and I wouldn't want to meet them in some dark alley. And then the men, too . . . )

    Dr.B.: I see you have successfully ruled out drinking ANYTHING but Cali tea. What kind of water do YOU use??? :confused:

    I'm starting week 7 of my new lifestyle
    diet. I'm 15 pounds down from my max,
    25 more to go. 15 pounds in 6 weeks,
    that is 2½-pounds a week. Why do
    i weigh every day? only a couple of
    times a week have i lost a pound.
    Oh well, i've got to be careful not
    to GAIN those pounds. And i've got to
    be careful NOT to go back to eating
    sinful stuff like BREAD, RICE, POTATOES,
    and anthing that tastes good cause
    it has SUGAR in it :(

    My doctor's office advises i watch my
    cholesterol input. They forget i can
    eat no cholesterol at all, that my
    liver makes it (i seem to have an
    extra effecient cholesterol making liver).
    So on the low carb diet my body is
    breaking up fat moloceules to make
    energy (to replace the lack
    of carbs) AND to make cholesterol.

    Did you know cholesterol is your bodies
    energy back-up system? When you run out
    of the from sugars from your system,
    you "get a second wind" cause your body
    starts burning cholesterol. Unfortunately,
    we have burdened ourselvs with so much
    evil carbs that we have to run two miles
    or four before we start burning cholesterol.
    Sorry, i get winded climing a set of stairs.
    My idea of exercise is to mosey about 1/8 a mile
    around the block.

    LOL, Ed! The only exercise I get is reading the diet threads and that's usually while I munch on something. I'm horrid!

    Honestly tho, I have tried to stop my snacking. That's what edges my weight back up. Used to be, if I were worried or nervous, I couldn't eat. Now I eat when I'm anxious~ Ought to do something physical instead!
