I'm starting week 7 of my new lifestyle
diet. I'm 15 pounds down from my max,
25 more to go. 15 pounds in 6 weeks,
that is 2½-pounds a week. Why do
i weigh every day? only a couple of
times a week have i lost a pound.
Oh well, i've got to be careful not
to GAIN those pounds. And i've got to
be careful NOT to go back to eating
sinful stuff like BREAD, RICE, POTATOES,
and anthing that tastes good cause
it has SUGAR in it
My doctor's office advises i watch my
cholesterol input. They forget i can
eat no cholesterol at all, that my
liver makes it (i seem to have an
extra effecient cholesterol making liver).
So on the low carb diet my body is
breaking up fat moloceules to make
energy (to replace the lack
of carbs) AND to make cholesterol.
Did you know cholesterol is your bodies
energy back-up system? When you run out
of the from sugars from your system,
you "get a second wind" cause your body
starts burning cholesterol. Unfortunately,
we have burdened ourselvs with so much
evil carbs that we have to run two miles
or four before we start burning cholesterol.
Sorry, i get winded climing a set of stairs.
My idea of exercise is to mosey about 1/8 a mile
around the block.
