Our cats become part of the family. They often take on the characteric traits of their owners.
Can you imagine how my cats must act? -
Patches has sure fit right in. She does get really wild at bedtime, tho.
-
Good morning. It is frightfully cold here to-day. I think it comes from NY...we even got snow to blow.
Our cats love to play all over the house...at night. I have thought about caging them at night and pulling the curtains. The dogs have the good sense to sleep at night.
I've heard of a Tomcat, but never a Dancat! Cant begin to imagine.
Cheers,
Jim -
What is it with cats and nighttime, Jim1999? LOL It seems Patches thinks late night is the perfect time to play with her pink fuzzy mouse or a tiny basketball she has. She runs around like crazy for about an hour before she climbs in bed with us to sleep. She has to sleep right up against me so if I turn over, she 'fixes' herself. It's very sweet but I've got my Jim cuddled up against me on one side and the cat on the other.
Our dogs always slept at the end of the beds. -
There is something to be said for separate beds. One for us and one for the animals.
Cheers,
Jim -
I would apprecaite your prayers folks. After several months of things going in the "right direction" here were are losing the one solid man in the church.
Battling discouragement at the moment. -
Know what you mean Roger, we lost one of our key men in our Church too. Not much we could do about that-the Lord took him home. At a time like this I don't know rather to be sad or happy for him,
"...that ye sorrow not, even as them that have no hope." (1Thes 4)
We all know that he is better off, but we will, in this life, see his face no more-the sad part. -
This is tougher to handle, he is leaving to go to another church.
-
That sounded terrible.
When a Christian goes to be with the Lord we can rejoice with them, though we miss them.
When someone whom you have poured your life into leaves for the wrong reasons it is discouraging. -
Sorry to read this, Roger.
From experience, I know these things bewilder us, but it seems the Lord has a reason. It may be that two men will replace him.
Prayers are with you.
Cheers,
Jim -
Roger, I'll be praying about the situation!
Dan -
No body out and about today?
-
Morning Dan, I'm here and there. Ty is Mr. Chatterbox today and every remark must have an answer. I opened the window in my bathroom and he was yelling at the reindeer that fell over 'Get Up!'
-
Hello Dan.
I am up and about blowing that NY snow back to its source. We are in for another deep freeze the next couple of days. Great days to be in and about.
Cheers,
Jim
Only 6 more days to February,,at least its a short month. -
Apprecaite your prayers folks. Our church plant, on Sunday monrings at least, is back to just my family. The man who left called by to tell me why tonight. One of the reasons is that I once said in a sermon that God knows best and that sometimes he allows people to die of cancer. Since it never says that exactly in the Bible he doesn't beleive it. He think Christians in the will of God will only die of old age. That was one among many excuses.
The missionary is battling discouragement.
Praise God our children's outreaches continue to do well. -
Why goodness gracious Roger! Cancer can be caused by things in our environment, foods with chemicals, drinking too much, smoking, etc. God allows those deaths! Even if a smoker turns to God and gives up the habit, the consequences of that sin can remain.
Sorry you're facing this battle. May God open floodgates of blessings to you and your little group of believers! -
He doesn't belive (out the clear blue sky) that no Christian in the will of God dies of anything but old age.
Every Christian who dies before that does so because he is in sin of some sort.
This was a Satanic attack it came from nowhere. -
Certainly this man is confused. I'd suggest that you compile a list of scripture that proves he's wrong and send it along with a 'we miss you at church' note in a week or so. Be sure to include
John 9:1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3 Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. -
He knows the scriptures - I shared that one and others.
Just pray for me - I am really stunned by the way this fell out.
