The Real St. Patrick

Nice though - but his true Biblical impact was very short lived. In a little over a hundred years the Irish "Christians" had adopted all of their old pagan gods and goddesses as "saints" and still gave them veneration.
A key example from a about 10 miles away from here was the nature goddess Bridgit who becamse St Bridget. Her magic well is still used for "healings" today and her fire was kept going for centuries.
No denying that Patrick was a Christian who spent his life reaching the Irish for Christ, but he failed to teach the importance of discipleship and true Bible teaching. -
