I just got off the phone with my Congressional Representative's office here in Texas.
I encouraged him to vote for health care reform and to not be intimidated by these republican moron's who are attempting to subvert the will of the people with Gestapo tactics.
This is the correct method of voicing your opinion.
There is no reason to act like a bull in a china shop during public meetings.
I disagree with you completely on the issue of the healthcare bill.
However, calling one's congressional representative is, indeed, a correct method of voicing one's opinion.
So why did you leave out f your conversation the Democrat and independent morons who are attempting to subvert the will of an unpopular congress acting against he the will of the people?
"In 1913, the top tax rate was 7% on incomes above $500,000 ($10 million 2007 dollars)."
Now look at the tax rate!
A single person making
8 - 30 K a year is paying about 15% tax
Do not be surpised if the same happens with the health care.
The govt keeps adding and adding and adding....
Same thing with Social Security.
"According to the Social Security website, "The tax rate in the original 1935 law was 1% each on the employer and the employee, on the first $3,000 of earnings. This rate was increased on a regular schedule in four steps so that by 1949 the rate would be 3% each on the first $3,000. The figure was never $1,400, and the rate was never fixed for all time at 1%"
Now, you the employee pay 6+% of your income and your employer must match that amout.
I agree that you have chosen a wise manner to express your opinion.
However, for you to lump all opponents of health care reform under the moniker of "Republican moron gestapo" speaks volumes about your willingness to engage in debate and to consider the opinions of others.
Nope (I've attended many a cit council meeting myself).
I'm simply saying calling one's congressional representative is a correct method of voicing one's opinion.
I don't understand your statement.
You must not support the American form of government.
What's wrong with expressing your ideas to your elected representative.
What would you prefer?
Well, since you talk about the Gestapo maybe it's a dictatorship.
If there's one thing I'm NOT it's a moron.
Why don't you read in the Bible the passages where it talks about loving your neighbor?
Oh, I see.
You ripped them out because that's being "politically correct."
The democrats/socialists/fascists/Marxists like you have been using Gestapo tactics at least since the Viet Nam war. You know tearing up draft cards, burning Military recruitment centers, blowing up Federal buildings [Obama's buddy], and buildings housing draft boards.
Something that democrats/socialists/fascists/Marxists like you can't understand is that the will of the radical leftists in Congress does not represent the will of the people, not that they worry about it.
they are just a bunch of arrogant thugs as Representative Lee demonstrated yesterday. These people have been insulting the troops in the middle east since shortly after 9/11; folks like swift boat Kerry, turbin Durbin, dingy Harry, and assorted others
Democrats/socialists/fascists/Marxists have also made threats against the lives of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for which they should have been imprisoned.
The use of the word "morons" was a reference to the OP.
"I encouraged him to vote for health care reform and to not be intimidated by these republican moron's who are attempting to subvert the will of the people with Gestapo tactics."
BTW - I find it humorous that the author of the OP used "moron's" (singular possessive) rather than "morons" (plural).
It also pays to post with care.
You referred to "the Democrat and independent morons."
Since I'm a Democrat you called me a moron, not exactly the Christian way to conduct a discussion.
Comprende?
