Still too small for us.

</font>[/QUOTE]When I was a teen, I hit a deer going about 45 in a '78 Ford LTD. The car was built like an armoured tank. The deer went flying the other direction and died. The car had a small dent in the grill and was knocked out of allignment. I was fine. No deer in my lap. Now, that was a car.

Love the Mini Cooper too. However Ive seen what happens to it in a 45 mph wreck. Not much left. Now they have that convertible out, and I cringe when I see someone in one flying down the road.

I saw the video, and I have to say I'm impressed with the way that frame held up. Most cars that size would have disintegrated hitting a wall at 70.
Still not ready to buy one, though. -
I notice that the crash test pitted it against a Mercedez at twice the rate...
But, the same bumper height...
Guess where the opposing test car would be if it were an SUV?
Yep.... Right in the drivers face!
No thanks!
Not me...
Not my Wife...
Not my Son...
Not my Daughter...

All windshields are more or less the same. Just about anything you drive is likely to put the deer on your lap or worse.
But all deer bars are not the same. I don't think you could put one on that little bitty car.
Hard to say. But I'm not going to be driving something that small with Bubba on the road in his dualie with beer bottles rattling in the bed.
You're really not a very nice guy, are you ? -
What's nice got to do with it?
Facts are stubborn things...
I drive some of them back roads with "Bubba" driving a dualie while the beer cans bouncing out the bed...
As for the deer... I found one once, the hard way... And, a full size solid steel American Car did quite necely against it....
Has to move the dual beam into the single beam slot though...

I get a little nervous with my wife driving her GMC Jimmy on these roads. It handles like a sports car, and I'm sure wouldn't stand up to a coyote. I've seen jack rabbits tear the whole front end off of some cars.
My car is the '96 Isuzu Trooper, with the rail guards. I haven't hit anything, yet, but odds are I will have an encounter, someday. -
The US price was jumped 10 grand in the last 6 months.

>I don't think the Smart car will go fast enough to go onto an interstate highway
Saw one with B.C. plates doing 70 MPH on I-5. -

I dont really like driving those teeny weeny cars because I dont want anyone to think that I am French. But I could picture Aslanpal or Daisy in one.
-
Yeah me and Daisy ...I think Daisy would prefer driving her wonderful spouse around in one or I could Chauffeur her around the Big Apple and enjoy the sites...I would be.........drum roll..............DRIVING Mrs. Daisy
-
People already stare at me when I get out of my Supra at 6'9". I can imagine the looks I'd get if I were to climb out of one of those. Sounds like fun!
-
Nice Pic Aslanspal, I think I would be afraid to drive one though. Just judging by the picture that you posted it looks like the car is danger of being stepped on.

Lots of laughs..it does look like the Vince McMahon look a like is ready to rumble.
