Revelation, Chapter 1, 4: John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
Revelation, Chapter 3, 1: And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Revelation, Chapter 4, 5: And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Revelation, Chapter 5, 6: And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Romans, Chapter 8, 2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Revelation, Chapter 11, 11: And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
The Seven Spirits of God
1. The Spirit of Life -
As soon as I read the OP, I was immediately reminded of my mother's view of God. Any time she heard someone mention Trinity, she would chime in with:
"There's not only 3, there are seven Spirits of God. We know for certain of Father, Son, Holy Ghost. But there are four more."
Is the original poster trying to build to something like this? After all, his second post is:
1. Spirit of life
I'm guessing the intent is to ask....what are

Rev,
Do you hold to the teaching on this site you linked?
Or was it simply for informational purposes? -
I'm on my phone right now, which takes a lot of time to get lengthy. I'll try to expound later tonight -

Does the OP realize this is a Baptist board, and this segment of the forum may only be posted in by Baptists?
I ask because of 1) the heretical teachings he undoubtedly is about to embark on regarding the "seven Spirits," and 2) the fact he has not declared a denomination on his profile. -
Then she got in with a group of "full gospel" types who were heavy into mysticism and "spiritual warfare" which was tantamount to witchcraft. Then a Missionary Baptist church when I was a kid.
She became impressed with the doctrines of the Word of Faith folks such as Creflo Dollar, Andrew Wommack, and others. And finally a dose of Assembly of God to put the finishing touches on.
Nutty? Brother, you have no idea the mess I came from -

JamesL, I've respect for anyone who thinks outside the box and researches on their own, which is the impression I've gotten of you. Do you think "the mess you came from" had anything to do with this streak of independence and 'see for myself attitude' you have? :)
I'd bet it had everything to do with it. -
I knew right then that I would take no man's word for the rest of my life.
Everything I ever learned went in the proverbial trash can, and I started over. And now I'll see for myself. -

Ps 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Ps 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
The writer of the book of Revelation right at the very beginning tells you clearly:
Rev. 1:1 ΒΆ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
The Greek term translated "signified it" is Aorist tense form of "semaino" and means "signs" or "symbols."
Have you noticed the repetitive use of "seven" in the book of revelation? Do you think that is mere coincidental?
There are not "seven" literal Spirits of God. The term "seven" SIGNIFIES "fullness" or "completeness" in Biblical numerology.
Ephesians 4:6 explicitly says there is but "ONE Spirit" as there is "ONE hope" and etc.
Perhaps this is your interpretation as well and you were just stirring the pot to see what you might get. -
My Granny was CoC and many a Sunday evening service she took me to (as a child); the acapella singing there I will never forget, it was heavenly.
