Just for the sake of discussion, would you elaborate on your answer?

I bet right about now Mahatma is wishing he was strong enough to have taken advantage of some real forgiveness.

Are you so sure your judgment is infallible? Three quotes from Gandhi I bet you were unaware of:
A man [Jesus] who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies, and became the ransom of the world. It was a perfect act.

All of the above quotes from Gandhi are questionable at best.

LOL. Anyone who has been stupid enough to engage you in any intelligent exchange of ideas has had you pull those quotes out. And they still stink.
If Ghandi died believing what he preached. He's in hell. Fat load of good his "strength" is doing him now.

He preached finding salvation in creation. Surely you will admit Ghandi was not a Christian, won't you ? Are you that eager to pollute the word of God with worldly teaching ?

What makes you think that is what he preached? I am not sure what you mean by the words salvation in creation. Care to explain that for me?
I have never said he was a Christian as I do not know. It really is not for you or me to decide. It is up to God to decide. Right?
You might find the following quote interesting where Gandhi hints at being a Christian.
"The message of Jesus as I understand it," said Gandhi, "is contained in the Sermon on the Mount unadulterated and taken as a whole... If then I had to face only the Sermon on the Mount and my own interpretation of it, I should not hesitate to say, 'Oh, yes, I am a Christian.' But negatively I can tell you that in my humble opinion, what passes as Christianity is a negation of the Sermon on the Mount... I am speaking of the Christian belief, of Christianity as it is understood in the west."

If you believe salvation is taught in the sermon on the mount then you are not saved, either. Salvation does not come from Christ's teachings. It comes from his shed blood. If you and Ghandi preach the sermon on the mount as a salvation message you both send people to hell. Pretty sad.

I would not say that salvation comes from the Sermon on the Mount. However, I would say if the Sermon on the Mount plays no part in the way a person lives their life ... this would be very worrisome.
Yes, Christ's death and resurrection paid for our sins. However it takes more than a verbal assent. If accepting Christ does not change the actions or our lives and the way we view and treat others then I would say this is violating the Sermon on the Mount. Do you agree?

The second part of your statement is off topic. If Ghandi based his salvation on his agreement with the sermon on the mount, then he died unsaved. Agree or disagree ?
Completely off-topic. Start another one about bearing fruits. You quote Ghandi as considering himself a Christian, basing it on what Christ said in the sermon on the mount. I am calling hogwash on it, and telling you his words have no business on a Christian message board. So why put them up here ?

I do not know what he based his salvation on ... why don't you read all that he wrote and let us know. You seem so interested.
Anyway, who is saved and who is not is up to God ... not me.

Please learn to use the quote function properly.
You quoted Ghandi, if you read his posts that you quoted you will find his statement on believing the sermon on the mount being his salvation. It's right there, I'm sure even you will see it.

Also, I find it hilarious that you can't judge Ghandi's faith but are fine judging mine. Stupid, but hilarious.

IMHO, Gandhi is a redeemed born from above child of God. We'll see him in heaven.
