More government bumbling. And yes, it doesn't matter who is in office, they are pretty much all bumblers and incompetents.
This will get your goat

Aren't these the same types of gov't officials we're supposed to trust with our health care, our tax money, and the education of our children? Thanks but no thanks.

Wow! Where was the media then? 3 years ago? Why are we only finding out now? I guess they must have been wanting to "protect" Bush and his government...
I am surprised that happened, you know with all the liberal press these days....
You are correct, all the government is bad and irresponable and until we stop pointing fingers Left and Right and fix this mess, we will get exactly what we deserve. -
Don't forget to claim the profit on your taxes. -

Naaa....that way I can be nominated to be on the Obama admin since that seems to be the number one qualification. -
It is a fact that the government bureaucracy is loaded with incompetents. It is also a fact that many in the government bureaucracy did their best to embarrass or undercut President Bush since the bureaucracy is overloaded with liberals.
I guess that equates liberals with incompetents. -

The state dept was never a Bush backer by any means, so the media had no desire to openly expose/embarrass any entity that was against Bush!
Sure, it would have been a spot on the "Bush Administration", but that spot would have been on one of the entities that was doing their best to undercut the President's policies; the media ain't 'bout to spoil this relationship.:BangHead: -
I'm not entirely certain that it is any different for this current administration although only time will tell which departments will work with the President and which will pull against him.
Years ago we were in a world war with several fronts. Security was tight... so tight.... even soldiers private mail was read and censored... and the saying common "loose lips sink ships" a motto oft repeated....
Then we find these security breechs in a day and age when things like identity theft may not only hurt an individual, but set up a false personna who is able to infiltrate and gather data and insight and compromise our safety.
This is right up there with missing/stolen laptops, hard drives and discs filled with data and files.......and no telling what else. So they threaten an innocent who breaks the news with prosecution? What bullying and ugliness! They should be looking at themselves and their own processes and policies and place some risk and irresponsibility into the category of criminal behavior for deriliction of duties in the performance of their job to maintain security. -
I hear ya.... Kind of makes the term "national security" an oxymoron... I think the Russians would have given more than $46... -

Lincoln had reporters jailed for less than what the media did to Bush. How many presidents had forged documents pushed on a nightly T.V. broadcast ?
LeBuick, your nightly spin exercises are becoming pathetic. -

You know better than this. -

I believe he refers to the incident on CBS that ended in Dan Rather's departure. However, one incident doesn't a campaign to embarrass anyone. It was an embarrassment to the network and Rather, not Bush. Bush is his own embarrassment.

I think you are the next one I'll no longer bother with. You are purposefully obtuse, and quite dishonest. -
