God's punishment of the Jews for the murder of Jesus began when Hadrian booted them out of their land in 135-136 AD, & culminated over 1800 years later in the holocaust. Between those times, they were hated & persecuted wherever they went. Even Shakespeare wrote a play contemptuous of Jewish bankers. But God began to lift that punishment after the nazis fell.
For anyone who doesn't believe the US & the Jews are closely tied-the US Govt. has more Jews in it, both elected & appointed, than any other, including Israel. Anyone not believing that, just go thru lists of Congress people, & lists of bureaucrats, & also state govts, looking for Jewish names. (Personally, I'm GLAD to see so many Jews in our govt, even if some of them are liberals.)
Curious that you didn’t note the beginning as prophesied by Jesus, namely the consequences following their rebellion against the Roman government, including the destruction of their temple in AD 70. It even seems to have been motivated by false messianic hopes. Their suffering was due to rejecting the true Messiah, not for his necessary crucifixion.
The destruction of J & the temple was part of the "days of vengeance" Jesus proclaimed against that generation of Jews, holding them responsible for all the murders of the righteous up til that time, even that of Abel, who lived before there were any Jews.
What I mentioned above was for their murder of jesus & rejecting Him as Messiah. They kept up that rejection, so God prolonged their punishment. But He lifted it, according to His plan, to fulfill some prophecies, & in preparation for the eschatological events. However, any Jew, or anyone else who dies unsaved, is still lost, of course.
