I appreciate your honesty ctb. Maybe we can begin to have an honest discussion on the candidates. BTW - what candidate is 100% truthful? I know yours isn't. And Trump certainly says what he thinks people need or want to hear at that moment.

The speech you linked to was delivered in June. Nice try, though.

I'd like to read the full speech before I comment on it. I did see some snippets on the internet and thought it was OK to good. I was kind of disturbed by his proposal to created a commission to educate the public on Islamic terror and to viciously root out extremist groups. I agree this sort of action is likely necessary, but I don't trust Trump to carry it out judiciously.

I doubt he ever deliberately told a lie. He may have been misinformed on a topic and misspoke. Deliberately telling a falsehood and misspeaking from bad information is quite different.

There is the old joke; "How can you tell if a politician is telling a lie? His/her lips are moving.

OK...don't see what Jimmy Carter has to do with Trump's idea to form a commission to viciously root out extremists?

Agree with Trump on this. We have enough problems of our own without importing thousands of people who come from very different cultures and have very different values. And certainly there is nothing un-constitutional about it.

I know you'd like to believe that, but no politician gets to upper level offices, especially POTUS without distorting, or fabricating a lie here and there. I think you would agree that even the least of us, including you and I, have told lies from one time or another.
