I believe you helped prove my thought about travel giving a big education, both about other cultures and about our own.

Your statement, "Travel to other countries only makes me love America more," is so true. When I worked in China it did not take long before I was so thankful that I carried an American passport in my pocket. I found the Chinese people very friendly and lots of fun to be with, but also my times there have strengthened my view that they have a really miserable government. The corruption is unbelievable. The same is true with the current Russian government. It may be better than Communism, but it is not a good government for the average person. The corruption in Russia is unbelievable.

Yes, one benefits of travel is that it does make most Americans much more appreciative of what we have here.

Oh, so you only read what the Holy Spirit has written, or is this just an attempt on your part to show how much more holy you are than others?

BTW, why do you follow Crabtownboy around like a shadow? Can't he comment without looking over his shoulder for more of your condescending posts?

What ? All of a sudden I have to answer to you ? Harumph. When people post up baloney, I'm going to call it that. As far as I know, I'm allowed to challenge people. If you don't like what I post then hit the "ignore" button.

And I already addressed the Mark Twain thing.

I find it so peculiar that Obama is in many instances simultaneously identified as a socialist as well as a fascist - frequently by someone who doesn't have even an elementary understanding of either term.

    Hope all is well,

The man is clearly an international socialist that doesn't seem to mind riding on a tide of national socialism so long as it lines up with his master's wishes for a global government.

I've found this to be an interesting thread. Lot's of Bush and Obama bashing going on but nothing about those who have been in control of the USA's foreign and domestic policies for the last five administrations.

Righties and lefties still going at each other and being divided over all the usual corporate mainstream propaganda. Well, at least some things never change.

As I know you listen to a certain radio personality that is on a network named after the first book of the Bible, I am not surprised that you would make this statement.

Hope all is well, poncho - I have missed your posts while I was gone - PM me when you have time: it would be great to catch up with you offline,

Actually BiR I haven't listened to that radio personality in quite awhile. I've read Obama's speeches and seen his socialist tendencies for myself. His speeches reveal that he is an internationalist and his actions and ideas (for change?) reveal his socialist ideals. The only conclusion I can come to is that he is an international socialist. Of course at the moment his masters...on Wall Street...look at his cabinet...are corporate fascists who think they can control us further by merging their many fiat systems from around the globe into one big international fiat money system. From there they'll controll all the world's wealth doing away with any control the varied "nation states" may have over their own wealth. Probably the biggest consolidation of power into a few hands since Nimrod started construction of his tower.

You're a smart man BiR and you've been around here long enough to know that when it comes to all the "isms" I've done my homework. I believe you were around here way back when I was first started explaining to BB members what a "neocon" was. Back before most folks even knew what a neocon was.

I am a political Conservative poncho. If I am not mistaken "neo" means new or recent. So neocon means New Conservative. [n]You have a different meaning?[/n] I know some leftists use it as an epithet but I did not count you as one of them.

Neocons can be liberals and democrats also OR. It has little to do with conservative values or any values at all rather it's more of a need to control others (peasants, citizens, common people, population...the masses of inferior people) susposedly in order to protect us from ourselves.

It's a Machiavelian and/or Malthusian thing. The belief among the elite (and their followers, the princes, and their followers the upper level party members) that they have to lie to us and mislead us in order to control us all for or own good because we're to stupid to think and act for ourselves. Anyway the key word here in either instance is control.

In other words my definiton of neocon then is this...neo = new and con = control. Put them together and what do you have new controllers.

Think about a minute OR isn't that exactly what have everytime a new administration takes power?

Anyway we got some new neo/cons in charge now that will use some of the same as well as some fairly new scary things (global warming) out there that only the government can protect us from if we just give them more power, more money and more control.

Meet the new neoboss same as the old neoboss. But at least the lefties can say they were well represented on the way to a new global order.

    Hey!

:flower: Keep it green :flower:
