I find Jehovah's Witnesses to be so adamant and with their spiritually incorrect feet planted firmly in the ground.
How do you reach people who do not want to listen? I tried and gave them scripture.
Ugh...they came to my door this morning.

This was many years ago over the course of a few weeks, maybe two months ...
They come with a teacher and a student, sometimes two students.
I didn't invite them in the house but sat with them at a table on the front porch
I listened. I asked questions. I shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. I politely ended the conversation.
They came back.
This time the teacher with another student.
Again I listened. I asked questions. And I shared the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I talked pointedly to the teacher.
We discussed what the gospel was and I noted how close she was to really believing. I politely ended the conversation.
They came back,
This time the teacher a student and an older gent.
Again I listened. I shared the gospel and again I noted how close the teacher was to to really believing.
The teacher looked a bit shaken.
We ended the conversation.
They never came back.
And I've not had another group of JW's visit in the last ten years or more.
I've seen them walk past a few times.
I hope the teacher became a believer.

Romans 8:9
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (NASB)
1 Peter 1:11
seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. (NASB) -
The NWT reads God's Spirit and Christ's Spirit at Romans 8:9, but the verse still makes obvious God's Spirit and Christ's Spirit are one and the same Spirit. In 1 Peter 1:11, the NWT removes Christ, so it reads the Spirit within them. So the question here is why does you bible read Spirit of Christ, but their bible removes Christ?

She kept trying to tell me that Jesus was a "mighty spiritual creature".
I told her no, that this was my issue with JW's. I told her that Jesus Christ is a deity - not created and that he is God's Son and God. I gave her the scripture of Jesus, himself, tell those who didn't believe who he was that, "Before Abraham was, I AM."
I know what their tenets are and this one was deeply entrenched. -
"The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fulness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross." (Col. 1:15-20 NIV)

If you engage in conversation with them, their 'report' on your card will be "a person of good will." This means someone who does believe in God-- or a god-- who might be persuaded to the "truth." You can't count on sharing the gospel to produce any quick results, so probably the only thing you can do is 'plant a seed,' and hope there are others who also plant and water it. It takes time to undo all that brainwashing that truth only comes through the Watchtower Society and every other organization, and every government, is of Satan.
Nevertheless, one type of argument that gives them trouble is about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you ask them if a person is made up of body, soul, and spirit, they will probably agree. If you ask them if Jesus was resurrected, they will probably agree. But then if you ask them what 'part' among body, soul, and spirit was resurrected, they don't know how to answer (unless maybe there has been a new answer furnished by Watchtower). Ask if his body rose, and they will say no, that Jehovah dissolved it in gases. Ask if his soul rose, and they will say no, the soul is not divisible from the body. Ask if his spirit rose, and they say no, his spirit was only his breath. So, what DID rise, you ask. HE did, they answer. That sets up re-creation instead of resurrection, and all they can do is insist they are the same. So then ask about his bodily appearances, Thomas touching the nail holes in his hands, his eating food,... and they will have to get on the defensive or bow out of it. -

When they quote Greek at you, ask them where they find "Jehovah" in the NT Greek.
The best they can do is refer to the OT passages quoted in the NT but YHWH is always quoted as Kyrios - Lord.
Then go to Acts 2:21 "call on Jehovah" and trump them with v. 38. -

I have a printed Bible with Strong's numbers. I ask them to look up the word they quote in the dictionary. Can spark their incredulity when they meet someone who "knows" Greek.

The problem with many of these responses is that they are confrontational.
They attempt to win the bible game - and the JWs are prepared and expect confrontation - confrontation fulfills the goal of their witness.
I think a better tactic is speaking to their heart's need; grace, hope for the future, and acceptance found only through belief in Jesus.
Jesus didn't address Nicodemus in an aggressive confrontational manner but in a way that focused on his needs and caused him to question everything he had been taught.

They used to come to my door but when I answered, having no shirt, barefoot and in my gym shorts and my big hairy food belly exposed... My hair going every which way, and my scraggly whiskers poking out of my face... They handed me their literature and left... You don't even want to see Brother Glen in the early morning:eek:... They probably think I'm a heathen!... Brother Glen:Roflmao

I think this is a fantastic "argument" - but don't use it as an argument but instead something to just plant something in their heads. This is a way to show that Jesus is more than a good man or a god from John 1 - not using John 1:1 but John 1:3. You can even use their New World Translation to do it.
