    Chipsgirl,
I do suffer from depression, but I am not Paranoid.
I don't care if your smileys look at me, as long as they don't talk about me. [IMG] [IMG]

Glad your laughing Chipsgirl. I thought I'd better explain the wink in my next to last post, so there wasn't any misunderstanding.
It's deer season here in Michigan, and I didn't want your fiance to be huntin' me! Sounds like he's already got his "dear" though.

Plain Old Bill: //I am looking at this in a little different perspective.I know some
of the folks on the board here by thier real identities. Some
of our members are pretty heavywieght folks. This is a place
for them to come and relax, have some fellowship and just be
themselves. In addition by not revealing who they are, that frees
everybody up to discuss issues with them freely also without being
    intimidated by who they are.//

Are you hinting that you aren't really 'Plain Old Bill' but
    you are THE BILL?

Petrel: //On a forum I am a moderator of we had someone trolling using AOL
to evade an IP ban. I ended up banning a subnet of AOL temporarily
It worked because the board is relatively small so the odds
of someone else posting from that same subnet of AOL
were low. It's generally not a recommended tactic, though!//

Yep. In the case I had above there were three or four folk that
we wanted to continue discussion with that were from AOL. We would
have had to banned the good guys as well as the bad guy. Fortunately
maybe AOL has lived up to their advertizing and don't let the bad
guys do evil through their system???

Whoever said it would be cool to randomly meet up with a BBer, it was. And I feel sure this person is a person of God. But if he could recognize me by that little pic that used to be in the corner, then others could too.
I am in a habit of not trusting people that I dont know, and I dont trust many that I do know. Especially cyber friends. [IMG]

    TaterTot,
If I'd been at that funeral, and recognized you I would have thought "this is great, Gee, TaterTot looks just like her picture on BB". While I would have been happy to see you, I would never have approached you. Probably I'd have sent you a PM.
I trust my cyber friends too, that's why I'd never approach one. it's so easy to have good intentions blow up in your face.
Trust and Obey. Trust your cyber friends, and obey their right to privacy, and safety. [IMG]

As a former cop with lotsa friends on various police forces, I can deal with stalkerzz and freaks in my own way until they either leave the area or be arrested every time they step outta the house, but why expose oneself unnecessarily? You know my real name, but few people in my 'hood know I do anything on a computer but run our lil bizness. Most people who know me know I'm a Christian, but that I will not hesitate to impose a final solution upon anyone breaking into my home. "Christian" does NOT mean "Victim"!

If I thought I recognized someone at a funeral, I think I would talk to them and find out. But as for them recognizing me, it just freaked me out, b/c the person wasnt really someone I had seen much around on here. Not all who see your picture actually post, ya know.

Its just my personal policy not to trust someone unless they earn that.
