Solid American citizens have had enough.
Politicians ignore them at their peril. -

This brave man walked through the anti-health care crowd with his large poster and was immediately set upon by the crowd. One person spit on him, while others pushed and tried to grab his flag until the police intervened. Most of the crowd around him turned on him like rabid dogs, yelling epithets and things like commie, why dont you leave this country etc. Impressively, he remained unflappable and had this little smile on the whole time.
-
Did anyone bite off his finger?
-
Hands down he was much safer in his provocation of this crowd than if the converse were true.

Alatide, where were you on 9/12?:tongue3:
I don't care how many marched on DC on 9/12.... It won't mean a thing unless those same people with millions of others show up at the polling places in 2010, and 2012....
But if they do, and I suspect they will because we have had enough, a true revolution will take place... you will see America as it should be, not an America that is ruled by socialist Czars, Acorn organizers, and Chicago thugs. -
What's the problem? ABC originally gave an incorrect estimate of "up to 2 million". Later revisions put that in the hundreds of thousands. What's the problem with acknowleging that the first estimate from ABC was incorrect?

Wow, that's really nice for a homemade sign, and really big too.

The argument over the numbers at the march is largely unimportant. It's as if we are saying that the the bigger the turn out, the more significant it is. The church-culture is much the same... the bigger the church, the more significant we think it is.
That line of thinking us bunk in the church and it is bunk when it comes to this protest. Significance isn't found in size. The people who could and would attend this march have homes, families, and maybe most importantly... EMPLOYMENT.
To attend this event and not be a local resident, means that they had to take time off to get there. Seeing thousands of umemployed folks bused in to attend a march on the DC mall by protest organizers is far less impressive to me than what we saw over the weekend. -

You see, I cannot be baited by your use of "absolute" terms like: all... none... never... always... etc. I actually took the SAT nd did very well. I will say that I do enjoy your expressions of wisdom and philosophy... so much so that they often bring me great laughter. -
Senor Regular he is not loco haha
we should tell the truth of this gathering and not say 2 million

Nope nothing new -
Shall we use the Obama defense?
When Joe Wilson said that Obama lied the Obamabots here on the board put up the "technically true" defense.
Well guess what?
The thread title and the article say "up to two million".
So if the number of marchers was anywhere between one and two million - the thread title is "technically true".
If it is good enough for "the one" it should be good enough for everyone else. :tongue3: -
