Reports from the web (I am not giving the sources, but from reliable Middle East news sites, translated from Arabic):
I saw the film of some of how they tortured Gaddafi. Even an evil dictator should not be tortured in these ways, let alone an American US Ambassador. There were also 2 Marines killed (one reportedly a Navy SEAL, perhaps both were, I don't know) as well as the others murdered.
What will it take, America? What will it take? :tear: :tear: :tear:
US Ambassador was tortured, suffocated, raped, killed, had body dragged in streets.

As far as what America should do about it, I am all for unloading a few nukes on the countries where our embassies were attacked. -
Shouldn't they get some of the blame also?
Oh right, we have to stay loyal to our party don't we? All the evil things these people did while a republican was in office is perfectly understandable.
When are you going to wake up to the fact that neither the president or the congress of the United States control our foreign policy?
How did we get here?
We got here because ideas do have consequences. Bad ideas have bad consequences, and even the best of intentions have unintended consequences. We need to know exactly what the philosophic ideas were that drove us to this point; then, hopefully, reject them and decide on another set of intellectual parameters.
There is abundant evidence exposing those who drive our foreign policy justifying preemptive war. Those who scheme are proud of the achievements in usurping control over foreign policy. These are the neoconservatives of recent fame. Granted, they are talented and achieved a political victory that all policymakers must admire. But can freedom and the Republic survive this takeover? That question should concern us. SOURCE
It's great that you want to rush in and kill people and destroy things. That's exactly the mindset those who control our foreign policy want you to have. Bravo! You bought it hook line and sinker. -
-
You would eagerly run out and destroy whole nations with nukes. Not because of your "objectivity" and careful considerations of which globalist puppet you should support but because of a programed emotional response.
Yeah buddy you have been programed to reach your conclusion. Slowly and methodically you've been conditioned to "feel" the way you are "feeling" right now.
Don't take a step back and think about how you reached this conclusion. Just go with it and demand the complete destruction of those you hate. Along with anyone else who happens to be in the path of your nukes. Guilty or not. "kill em all let God sort em out" right?
Hey isn't that the same mindset you've always hated about these terrorists all along? -
Thread assumes facts not in evidence.

Honestly, billwald, do you think this President or this State Dept or the media in this country is going to report these things? We have been programmed to be politically correct and not to "offend" muslims. The report came as referenced above. Sometimes you have to go outside of the US press to get information. -
No, I am not taking a step back, that is called appeasement, and since you are so quick to point out where we are today, that is a main element. You draw lots of conclusions that are not there. No one said a thing about hating terrorists; it is just a matter of them or us. Instead of complaining about solutions, which you never offer, try posting something that solves problems.
My solution was to withdraw all embassies and financial interests from Muslim countries. Then they have no beef. You do not like the nuclear option if they mess with us after that, well isn't that tough. One American life is worth more than the entire lot of them. -
If it happened, it was predestined. Nothing to lose sleep over. Reserve worry for things you can do something about.

Classic cop out.
Let's not do anything like get smart and put the blame where it really belongs and make those who are truly responsible accountable for their actions. -
His total lack of emotion as he announced the deaths of American State Dept. personnel indicates this man is likely a sociopath: a person with a psychopathic personality who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. His eagerness to be on his way to raise money indicates at the very least he is narcissistic. -

From Salty's link:
-
If you could ever answer the question in your own mind who is responsible, maybe you could come up with some solutions instead of criticizing everyone else's idea of how to make this world a better place to live in.
You have totally lost sight of the Constitution, and dwell on conspiracy. It is almost like you have forgotten the one thing we all have in common is that we love freedom and liberty. -

I have no sympathy for those who intentionally go into harm's way for political, military, or business reasons when there is no threat to people back home. There is no logical reason why any American needs to be in an Islamic country unless they have relatives there.
