It will be a cold day in "you-know-where" before I ever care about the sport of soccer.

Incorrect. From your linked article: "The new agreement has provisions that may reduce the difference in bonuses for friendly games and tournaments, but there is — without question and for whatever reasons — still a massive gap between men’s and women’s World Cup bonuses."

So why are you talking about it? I find it interesting that people who don't like soccer go out of their way to talk about how much they don't like...soccer. :D

I'm not happy at all that they acted so foolishly and hatefully. It makes the win sort of hollow for me.

But most of all, it makes me angry for all the high school and college girls in my neck of the woods who love the game, have a desire to play professionally one day, and who come from good and decent and patriotic homes where this sort of behavior is NOT taught or accepted.

People pan the whole sport because of one team's actions. It's a shame.

But you also have to acknowledge women's sports are NOT the same as men's sports. They do not have the same expectations. It is ridiculous to think they should get equal pay.

Back before we sent women to combat, do you think they should have been paid the same as the men who did go to combat?

We'll have to agree to disagree.

I don't have an opinion as I don't think women should go into combat. Thus, no combat, no combat pay.

' Two years ago, the talented US women’s soccer player Jaelene Hinkle declined a call-up to the US Women’s National Team because she did not want to be forced to wear the team’s new LBGT pride jersey. Although she initially preferred to keep her reasons to herself, she eventually admitted that her decision was informed by her religious conscience. That was the end of her career with the USWNT.'

Why should they get equal pay? They are not playing at a similar level of talent. They are not creating a similar amount of interest. They are not created a similar amount of revenue. So, why?

    1. Fairness
    2. The women's team has won 4 FIFA World Cups.
    3. The men's team has never won a single FIFA World Cup.

I thought Americans were suppose to want people rewarded based on how they perform. The men aren't even in the same soccer universe with the women when it comes to performance-based outcomes.

OK, incentive their pay based on their placement in the tournament. The further up the bracket they win the more they get paid.

Should the Minnesota Lynx WNBA players get paid as much as the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA players? The Lynx have won the WNBA championship four times. The Timberwolves have only gotten past the first round of the NBA playoffs once. And until last year had not been in the playoffs for 15 years. Should the Lynx get equal pay?

I have no interest in the WNBA. I care about Arsenal, Wolverhampton, FC Dallas, USMNT, and USWNT in soccer.

Me, I root for West Bromwich-Albion or whoever is playing Manchester United tonight. You can also count me as an ABC fan (AnyBody except Chelsea).

I believe I heard yesterday the women players are paid 12% of revenue, men 9%. The men need more pay for it to be fair.

This championship women’s team was beaten by a bunch of teenage boys.

It will be funny to me when women have to watch the transgender’s take over women’s soccer. It’ll be even funnier to me when they get paid more than women will.

You’ve endorsed the Democrats in the last three elections. Your turn to the left is just a matter of time.
