Some of us knew it was all fear mongering hype before the "shock and awe" ever took place.

Anyone who knows even a little of the history of the Mid-East surely knew that it was a big mistake. Even setting history aside there was people saying that, yes Saddam is bad, but there is much worse waiting in the wings to take over if he was overthrown.
Then there was the numerous mistakes made after Baghdad fell that has resulted in the formation of ISIS. ISIS is much worse than Saddam.
The fear mongers won and it has cost us untold billions, thousands of lives of young Americans lost, and tens of thousands disabled for life. And yet we have those who did not and have not learned the lesson of history here and want to so more of the same. It makes a person weep. -

Besides, their plight doesn't match that of the Viet Nam vets, imo.
Now I actually fear the opposite; the pendulum swings and backlash against far left Marxist policies results in the neocons coming into full control, once again.
And you know the shame in all this? Remember those WMDs we invaded Iraq over? Well, we found them! And left them right there! And now ISIS has them!

Now THAT should really make the Iraq War vets feel justified, right?

Hillary was for the war and so was Bill but the Democrats do not blame them and Hillary will be elected.

Bill & Hillary did not invade Iraq. They can't be blamed for something they didn't do.

Former Indiana Congressman Says Securing Israel Was Hidden Agenda for Iraq War -
"....former congressman John Hostettler, a Republican representing southern Indiana, has self-published a book that puts the decision to invade Iraq on George Bush with a revenge motive, and neocons with a pro-Israel agenda.....
...“It cannot be debated that toppling Saddam was accomplished by means of a ‘private compact’ with political appointees and their underlings in the Pentagon ‘to support’ the ideals of ‘partisans . . . dedicated to another cause,’ ” .....” That other cause, he writes, was securing Israel....
....This is good news. It shows that the honorable American impulse of investigating a disaster and assigning blame is spreading–in this case, to a heartland social conservative ...... who washed out in the great Iraq election of 2006– notwithstanding the fact that Hostettler, a mechanical engineer, was one of only six Republican congressmen to vote against the war. Too bad that he had to self-publish, but good for the Indianapolis Star for the coverage. Hostettler now joins Joe Klein, Stephen Sniegoski, Walt, Mearsheimer, Grant Smith, a ton of other smart folks who are willing to point the finger at the bad Zionist-fed ideas that helped create this mess. Let the sunshine in!...
...P.S. Hostettler is a gun-toting Baptist who supported the Defense of Marriage Act and once averred that abortion might cause breast cancer. - ....." -

The Bush apologists want all to believe that the buck stopped before or after, depending on the issue, Bush took office. And now the GOP presidential hopefuls are running for the exits and doing a great disservice to the veterans who gave so much there.
Historians will not make that mistake. Bush set us on a downward spiral and there are folk who still want to continue that path. He completely wasted all the goodwill other nations and their citizens felt toward the US after 9/11. What a tragedy. -

I am not running for the exits--it is Hillary who supported the war as well as Bill.

Iraq was stable until Obama pulled out and wasted all that had been accomplished by our soldiers.
