IT IS NOT WALMART'S FAULT.
It is the fault of those that were there... that rushed the store.

WalMart bears
some responsibility for not planning appropriate crowd control. The man was a new hire. He was over 6 feet tall, over 200 pounds.. not a whimp... but not exactly hefty either for his height. He had been asked to help cover the front in anticipation that he could be of assistance with the crowd if needed.... according to some reports of WM associates. I have never said that it is all WalMart's responsibility. Nor have I suggested that people stop shopping at WalMart.
The folks who broke through the door also bear responsibility: It doesn't mean that those who were in the front of the line had control over the push of the crowd behind them.... so each person bears responsibility for his own behavior.
The purchasing powers of major stores, of which WalMart is only one of many, is such that they know the items which people are most eager to buy at a bargain:
When they specifically target the consumer with drastic cuts, published sales, and 'lost leaders' of such limited quantity that there is no hope for folks to avail themselves of the bargain if they are not the first few to make the purchase..... then they have encouraged a mob like 'me first' mentality ...... which honors those willing to fight for position against the meeker and more Christian behavior one would find in persons such as DonnA or myself or other members of this board..... who might be in line and trying to get an item, but not shoving others around.
