    My wife's grandfather pastored in Brantford. He was friends with the family of Doug Jarvis - another great American hockey player. Now that there is a Hortons on every corner we'll be claiming Tim Horton, too.

    It's silly but wonderful that Wayne Gretzky was wrongly identified as an American. What's not so great is that people around the world,think Justin Bieber is American. Well,he is North American --but not from the USA I quickly point out. Even in the UK Justin has been called an American --with a few adjectives placed beforehand.

    We'll take Michael J. Fox and Anne Murray any day though and not get too upset about it.
