Wayne Grudem wrote an article several months ago endorsing Donald Trump that was used by many Christians (including here on BB) to rationalize their support of Trump.
After the revelations of Trump's sexual predatory practices this weekend he's reversed course and now says he can't and won't vote for him. This took a lot of courage on his part and I applaud his decision. Would to God that more Christians would see the light.
Good on him. I was disappointed when he endorsed Trump but I am pleased to see that he recognizes that mistake and is going against the evangelical trend to call out Trump's sin and call him to repentance
I was vocally critical of Dr Grudem and his endorsement. I greatly admire his character and his ability to act in humility and contrition. He sets a godly example that should challenge us all.
A Republican Party that would not nominate a good candidate is who is letting Ms. Clinton get elected.
This includes all of the people who gladly voted for Trump, all those who insisted that the Party not have a moral backbone leading up to the convention and simply nominate the frontrunner, and then those who have gladly traded in their integrity to promote a man without self-control, basic political knowledge and competence, and Presidential temperament.

Again, I wonder how many who voted for Trump were not Registered Republicans?
Primaries should be closed.
But keep in mind - I do not believe that this country will ever again vote an far right (and I use that term loosely) candidate again.
In order for a Republican to win, he will have to be moderate.
The Republican Party can nominate anyone they want. The convention can change any rules and free delegates to select whomever they desire. Now, it would have severe negative consequences, but that often happens when one takes a stand for what is right.
The bigger problem is that the Republican Party has not held its members in check over the past eight years and has accepted all kinds of wild, unsubstantiated and hateful speech - as long as it was aimed at the Democratic Party and its members. Judgement has come for that willingness to allow it.
The Democrats are not much better. Ms. Clinton and her kind run the risk of doing the same to the Democratic Party... if it is not already happening.
These parties are being destroyed from the inside.
I am referring to the leadership and Party faithful.
Although I am a fairly consistent Republican voter (have only voted for Republican candidates for President since Reagan), I do not consider myself a member of the Republican Party, or any political party, even though I regularly vote in the primaries.
That would be unethical and unAmerican. I do not like the candidate but I will not put up with putting in one I do like by means of overruling the voters.
The Democrats are much worse. They are the standard for evil and lying.
That was was over decade ago, do we not ALL have dirty baggage that someone could expose us with
from our past
Has he repented of that, is he a changed person since that time?
And what he said back then was bad, but Hillary has actually not just said but DONE things to allowed some to be killed off, and exposed our national security, to me she is still much worse than Trump!
So would you justify it? Would you excuse it as "locker room talk" or something similar?
The way he has acted, the other things he has said, and the attitudes he has demonstrated say no - at least to me. He verbally attacks women all the time. The behavior seems consistent.
