    If I understand correctly, Peter said concerning the resurrection, that the resurrection of Christ was the fulfillment of;

    For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
    or let your Holy One see corruption.
    ESV

    That was written relative to the resurrection of Jesus the Christ

    Fifty days after the resurrection of Christ what did Peter say concerning the once living soul David? Acts 2:29
    Does Acts 13:36,37 seem to imply that the once living soul named David is still in the state of corruption?

    All of you Greek gurus give your understanding of why the different Greek word in the following:

    Psalms 68:18 (LXX 67:19) ἀνέβης εἰς ὕψος ᾐχμαλώτευσας αἰχμαλωσίαν ἔλαβες δόματα ἐν ἀνθρώπῳ καὶ γὰρ ἀπειθοῦντες τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι κύριος ὁ θεὸς εὐλογητός

    Textus Receptus Eph 4:8 διὸ λέγει Ἀναβὰς εἰς ὕψος ᾐχμαλώτευσεν αἰχμαλωσίαν καὶ ἔδωκεν δόματα τοῖς ἀνθρώποις

    Where do the gifts come from?

    and this he said of the Spirit, which those believing in him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:39 YLT

    Is this why?

    Acts 32,33 YLT 'This Jesus did God raise up, of which we are all witnesses; at the right hand then of God having been exalted -- also the promise of the Holy Spirit having received from the Father -- he was shedding forth this, which now ye see and hear;

    He received and then he gave.

    And now, Christ hath risen out of the dead -- the first-fruit of those sleeping he became, 1 Cor
    15:20 Νυνὶ δὲ Χριστὸς ἐγήγερται ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀπαρχὴ τῶν κεκοιμημένων ἐγένετο Noun - Nominative Singular Feminine

    for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive, and each in his proper order, a first-fruit Christ, Nominative Singular Feminine afterwards those who are the Christ's, in his presence, Then Matthew 19:28 YLT And Jesus said to them, 'Verily I say to you, that ye who did follow (following, aorist active) me, in (to, Dative) the regeneration, when the Son of Man may sit upon a throne of his glory, shall sit -- ye also -- upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel;

    They rule with him for 1000 years then (Order 3) the rest of the dead are raised

    The old testament saints all died if faith. They were dead in faith

    The
    faith of Gal 3:23-25 YLT And before the coming of the faith, under law we were being kept, shut up to the faith about to be revealed, so that the law became our child-conductor -- to Christ, that by faith we may be declared righteous, and the faith having come, no more under a child-conductor are we,
    26 for ye are all sons of God through the faith in (to, Dative) Christ Jesus,

    Now they are dead in Christ and will be made alive in his presence. to rule with him, judging.

    Returning to topic:
    The OT saints, those that gained approval by faith (Hebrews 11:2) upon physical death, their human spirits were carried to "Abraham's bosom" a temporary holding cell of comfort and honor. Luke 16:19-31

    Was Abraham's bosom located in the 3d heaven, the abode of God? Nope. John 3:13

    Such an indefensible position taken by some. They basically are saying that people were sort of saved, but not totally saved. They really do sound like Catholics with their idea of limbo.

    See post #62, #64 and this one all teaching truth from scripture. Other posts say "gained approval" means "maybe not having gained approval." And the beat goes on...
