I have heard enough of the sob story making a case for the pathetic dreamers. What about our own dreamers. The American citizens who graduate from college and can't find gainful employment because the so called illegal dreamers are occupying those jobs?

What about our own dreamers, who during summer vacation can't find a summer job because, once again, the illegal dreamers are filling those jobs?

When will we WAKE up and realize that because of these illegal's, those on DACA, are sucking up the good jobs that our own citizens, dreamers in their own right, are being pushed aside in the name of emotional amnesty for a group of people who should be sent home, and told to get in the back of the line and enter America the proper, lawful way?

I have had it with the liberal, bleeding heart politicians and the leftist leaning Hollywood types who have no emotion for our own citizens. DACA was illegal, and Obama knew when he signed it into law, that once you give something to a class of people, it is the most difficult thing in the world to remove it without a tsunami of emotions rolling over the shores of people, drowning them in emotional muck that favors the favored crowd who were given the rights of the illegal program!

It is high time America start thinking about her own people, and stop with the emotional attachment to a group of CHEATERS who, regardless of their being here by NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, need to take a seat to American's first!

That is my view. But, I am sure there are those of you with an opposing view!
So say your peace, and let's move on!

What about about our own teens and pre-teens.
Used to be a 11 or 12 year old could make a few bucks delivering newspapers.
In some States/Commonwealths - a teen must be 16 years old to mow a lawn with a power lawn mower.
And now with some demanding $15 an hour for flipping burgers (and other similar jobs) some employers
are replacing young workers with kiosks.

It's not just kids. Illegal aliens who work under the table drive wages down for minorities and unskilled workers.

We live in South Florida where there is an insanely large illegal community. I was at Home Depot the other day, finishing up my hurricane preps and when you drive through the parking lot, there have to be a hundred of them waiting there for day labor and sleeping under the trees.

But if I'm a young, unskilled, black guy, what chance do I have when an employer will pay an illegal half of what I need to survive, just because the illegal has to work off the books?

Yes, it's time we start taking care of our own. With the recent hurricaine in Texas, we need to stop sending all that foreign aid overseas - we need the cash right here. I fail to see where the Constitution authorizes the government to tax me and then send that money to other countries.

Sending able bodied non-citizens back to their native land helps the definition of the word BORDER in their minds and the minds of the progressive left who openly defy the rule of law when it suits them.

Do you really think that an employer would pass over an American citizen with a college degree to hire a Dreamer without a degree? Just how biased are you?

Get real. There are about 800,000 Dreamers in the USA. Most of them are in their mid-20's or older. There are only about 150,000 Dreamers that are college-aged. How many jobs do you think they are taking away from American citizens?

    DACA Numbers.JPG

When will you put away your prejudice and bias and just admit you are wrong on this? Dreamers are not taking away jobs from college graduates or college students. This is an appeal to emotion with no data to back it up.

The economy is adding about 200,000 to 250,000 new jobs per month. Per month. There are only 800,000 Dreamers in the U.S. Are you really going to cling to this idea that they are taking away jobs from US citizens?

In another thread ITL was lambasting the president because he thought the president would back off and was not going to keep his promise to kick out "the dreamers" .

Of course Obama looked the other way and "kicked the can down the road" to Hillary - oops Trump.

Well that didn't work and now he is making an unequal comparison of 800,000 dreamers to Americans with college degrees.

The comparison is to 800,000 jobs of dreamers who have displaced 800,000 American citizens of like educational background.

800,000 jobs is 800,000 jobs no matter how many new jobs are being added in spite of the "Data Center For American Progress" (disguised Marxist Chart).

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Apparently you missed Trump's tweet from yesterday where he implored Congress to make DACA legal! Yes, Trump wants to retain DACA! He doesn't want to deport these people.

    Trump DACA Revisit.JPG

Looks like you fell for his ploy, exactly as I predicted Trumpies would do in that post I made yesterday.

No, I did not make a comparison of 800,000 Dreamers to Americans with college degrees.

However, righteousdude2 made a comparison to Dreamers and Americans with college degrees in the OP.

No, no comparison involving 800,000 Dreamers, jobs, and college educated people was made by me. I did point out that there are only 800,000 total Dreamers and rhetorically asked how many of them could be taking college-aged jobs since there were only about 150,000 Dreamers of college-age.

But righteousdude2 said that American college students could not get summer jobs because other college-aged illegal immigrant dreamers were taking them.

    Sigh. So it's Fake News.

You are presuming that ALL 800,000 Dreamers are employed and are taking jobs from 800,000 people in recent months, or within the recent past. This simply is not the case. The 800,000 Dreamers have been coming here for over 10 years. That's an average of 80,000 jobs per year, if all got jobs (which is unlikely). All were under age 16 when they came here and most are now in there mid-20's. Sheesh, look at the data, it's not complicated.

Are you going to get all worked up over 80,000 jobs a year going to Dreamers, when the economy is producing 200,000 new jobs per month? In other words, this idea that Dreamers are taking jobs from Americans is specious.

Giving yourself all those pats on your own back doesn't add any credibility to your rant ITL.

But No, he left it up to congress to undo what Obama failed to do.
No matter what - you would have found fault with your president.

For the most part the GOP has become a pack of turncoats and/or cowards.
So, President Trump is virtually alone apart from his base which has grown to what I believe will become a new party, we will see.

Personally the best thing to do (but not the right thing to do) is "look the other way" like Obama did but rescind the DACA rule.

    Build the wall.

Work at sending ALL illegal immigrants back to their native land via their legal "run ins".
The premise : Anyone here other than the legal way IS A CRIMINAL.

Your an illegal (Dreamer, nightmare, whatever) you get pulled over for a speeding ticket - you get sent back.
Any situation involving criminal or civil law - you get sent back.

    Not a Christian attitude? OK.

    My Christianity rules my life.

    God, family, country.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

    "his own" - country
    "his own house" - family

You are not understanding. Trump tweeted last night that he wanted DACA to stand, that he wanted Congress to approve it with legislation.

You mean like I did here:

How can someone call another a Cheater, then in the same sentence say that it is not their fault? Seems dishonest.

I wonder if RD's rants have less to do with Illegals than it does with where they come from.

Baloney! 2 college degrees, extensive experience in my field and I can't buy a job. I run into ageism and sexism. Seems engineering companies don't want to hire a 53 year old female even if she is qualified.

Is the problem with the illegals taking the jobs, or with the employers paying slave wages to desperate people.

Salty, the problem here is that teen age American kids are refusing to work. There was an article about Ocean City, Maryland and how the owners cannot find American teenagers and college kids who will work in the summer. They had no place to turn than to folk from other countries.

It is more of a problem of American young people refusing to work.
