I certainly am in another world. While I am not listening to any music precisely at this moment, I just got home from an organ recital at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in Washington, DC. Robert Grogan, organ professor at Catholic University, played a Bach Fantasie and a Bach Fugue, also the chorale prelude, "Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ", a personal favorite of mine. Then he went French with Franck's Grande Piece Symphonique and Saint-Martin's Aria from Symphonie Dominicale. The program ended with a Toccate from a composer I had not heard of, Albert de Klerk.
Admittedly not the sort of stuff one normally hears in a Baptist Sunday morning service. But then why not? -
