We had a thanksgiving service today and dinner. Its amazing how the Lord has grown our church spiritually and in numbers of new people attending. When I first joined I tried to create interest among the elders in a door to door evangelism ministry but the idea was ignored. I am not saying friendship evangelism does not work, as it certainly has in our case. When asked what I was most thankful for I said I am most thankful to be in a Bible believing church that takes the scripture seriously. I am also most thankful to be out of an abusive marriage, and on it goes. So what are you most thankful for?
What are you thankful for?

I am forever grateful for the Cross. I thank God every day for the wonderful gift of my wife- 13,870 times on December 13th.

Great - now I have to count how many days we've been married???? OK - BRB....
OK - 11,810 for us....I think. :D And absolutely I'm grateful for our marriage - the good and the bad - the laughter and the tears!
I'm also absolutely grateful for being able to be a mom to 4 amazing children who are following the Lord.
But most of all, I'm absolutely grateful for the cross and God's love for me. I'm grateful for adoption both spiritually to become a child of God and physically to become a child of my parents. :) What a great blessing! -

On a serious note: My wife is the most significant influence on my Christian walk. God was on to something when He proclaimed it was not good for man to be alone. We've experienced at least six of the promises we made to each other on our wedding day: for better or worse; richer or poorer; in sickness and in health. On August 1, 2010 we shared a 24" wide window opening as our house burned around us coming within a whisper death doing us part.
My suitable helper has been a blessing beyond word. Thankful indeed.
